why is it not “Obama denies Trump wiretap claim”?
The real headline is “Obama silent on Trump wiretap claim.”
Or perhaps “unnamed Obama official granted more credibility by untrustworthy media than sitting president”

I would speculate that Obama would be insulated by a few layers, but lest we forget, they were pretty convinced they would win the election.
You don’t accuse the King without absolute proof. Trump knows that, but I don’t think the rats know it. Notice the difference in wording here. They refer to the “Trump campaign” and “people connected to the campaign.” The accusation against Trump is inferred - not direct.
This is a direct shot by the sitting President against the former President. Nobody takes that shot without proof.
We are all speculating here, but reading between the lines it appears the FISA court may have been approached regarding a tenant in Trump Tower (a Russian bank). If they expanded that to other offices in Trump Tower to include the campaign HQ and the transition offices that is likely the source of the wiretapping. This would represent illegal activity on the part of the administration and intelligence services who carried this out.
That is the electronic version of Watergate.

Now I have heard everything from you "President Trump can do no wrong" crowd. Nothing will kick the MSM into gear. They will cover for Obama and Hillary every step of the way.
That is the problem with yawl. Since President Trump has been elected, every thing is coming up daisies and all is well, President Trump will handle it with a couple of tweets.
Well I am here to tell you. If President Trump does not storm that bastion of the Shadow Government and drag that Halfrican out of there in chains and by his ass perp walk him in front of the cameras, he will have the Presidency ripped out from underneath him.
How much of this can go on before his legitimacy as a leader is lost?
This episode also shows how the MSM has (for a very long time) gone totally bonkers for anonymous sources when those sources tell stories that the MSM likes to tell. In general, no anonymous sourcing should EVER be used to substantiate important details of public interest stories. There may have to be some exceptions but those should be very hard-won with a much greater preponderance of evidence.
The liberal MSM has gotten extremely lazy and corrupt with “anonymous” deep-throat claims for anything and everything they want to report, obviously used against conservative and Republican people/ideas the vast majority of the time.
MSM shouldn’t be allowed to “deny” a story like this one with anonymous sources. Sure, utilizing background sources to learn of new details and targets for further reporting, that is a totally reasonable method. But NOT to base you story upon unprovable anonymous claims.....

He comments on the paper trail, whistleblowers, and other evidence that would likely exist for Trump to make this accusation. It is more interesting than our speculation at this point.
I don’t think they’re a deep mystery. In my original post I clearly stated that I thought the message was “a little odd” — that’s all.
