President Trump, signaling a potential major shift in policy, told news anchors on Tuesday that he is open to a broad immigration overhaul that would grant legal status to millions of undocumented immigrants who have not committed serious crimes.

But this is exactly why I worked so hard to stop Trump in the GOP Primaries.
For the last 20 years, the most important political issue facing American Conservatives has been massive LEGAL immigration.
New immigrant citizens vote 80% for the Democrat Party.
The numbers don't lie. The Democrats can win any national election they want to, as long as they get their core LEGAL voters to the polls.
At least 10 million undocumented aliens will qualify for “legal status.”
From that point, it is only a question of time before the Uni-Party converts them into voting citizens.
You need a one-two punch — offer amnesty and then punishment if they don't accept it.
There IS a legal pathway ... go out and come back in again.
Missionaries have to do it until they satisfy the host country of all it's hoop jumping.
Ex pats have to do it until THEY satisfy the host nations' notions.
And we are no different.
Y'get caught or turn yourself in or just leave and APPLY for the right way to do things.
This is MSN y’all. Grain of salt.
The time is right for an immigration bill as long as there is compromise on both sides, the president told the TV anchors at the White House, according to people present during the discussion. The people requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak about the private meeting.

The last sentence throws any credibility of the story into the toilet.
the only way I would want to see path way to citizenship is to illegals who self deport in the next year and then reapply with a limit of maybe 100,000 per year being let back in from that group by lottery. they also would have to of not committed any crimes besides the original of sneaking into this country...
The Fox gang was a little giddy about this possibility tonight. They’re amnesty supporters, of course.
I, like others, will give him the benefit of the doubt, but if he’s going to go this way, then he’s going to lose the very people that put him in office.
Notice the purple tie protest crapola.

It’s not just CNN claiming this story. All news networks have it. It’s from the Trump speech excerpt.
Seems like a similar rumor was being spread by some major media several months ago. Then candidate Trump denied it as another media fabrication.

Take everything the media reports with a grain of salt. They keep trying to sensationalize headlines in an attempt to separate President Trump from his supporters.
Until there is a direct quote from President Trump, this is likely just another media misinterpretation or fabrication.
Even Cruz wouldn’t have been this stupid.
I was just starting to think Trump was the real deal. I never really was 100% invested in him. If he caves its over but if this CNN story is fake news CNN is toast. Kick them out of the White House.

The Trump administration could be open to providing legal status to undocumented immigrants who have not committed serious crimes, President Donald Trump said on Tuesday, signaling a major shift in his immigration policy.
Trump could make the call for an immigration bill during his first joint address to Congress on Tuesday night in a speech that could call for compromise on a number of fronts.
“The time is right for an immigration bill if both sides are willing to compromise,” Trump said, adding that individuals seeking legal status would not need to leave the country first.
Mention of the policy during Tuesday night’s speech which has been billed as a checklist of campaign promises could roil Trump’s base after the president campaigned on cracking down on illegal immigration across the U.S. border with Mexico.
“By finally enforcing our immigration laws, we will raise wages, help the unemployed, save billions of dollars, and make our communities safer for everyone,” Trump will say, according to excerpts released ahead of the speech.
Early speech excerpts signal Trump could strike a more conciliatory tone than the bombastic new president has done since entering the White House.
“The time for small thinking is over, the time for trivial fights is behind us, we just need the courage to share the dreams that fill our hearts, the bravery to express the hopes that stir our souls, and the confidence to turn those hopes and dreams to action. From now on, America will be empowered by our aspirations not burdened by our fears,” Trump will say, according to the pre-released remarks.
He also is expected to defend his budget by pointing to increases in military spending. “My budget will also increase funding for our veterans...Our veterans have delivered for this nation and now we must deliver for them,” he will say. http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/trumps-address-to-congress/trump-address-may-call-immigration-bill-senior-white-house-official-n726896

I won’t believe it until I hear it from Trump. I just don’t trust the media these days.
I still call them illegal aliens. But then “gay” still means happy and queer means queer, in my vocabulary.
I am giving him a chance. I am streaming CSPAN waiting. I am also drinking heavily.
Amen.
