In January, Lt. Col. Khallid Shabazz received the call every Army chaplain dreams of, the call that validates years of intense study and hard work toward keeping the U.S. military in good spiritual health.
He was offered the job of chaplain for an entire division, an honor for anyone in his field but a milestone in his case. After a ceremony this summer, Shabazz will become the first Muslim division-level chaplain in the history of the U.S. military – a Muslim spiritual leader for more than 14,000 mostly Christian soldiers.
He’d like to think his transition will be as smooth as those of his Christian peers, but he knows that not everyone will welcome him as warmly as the senior officers who gave him a standing ovation when the news was announced at a meeting on base.
Shabazz’s switch in faiths didn’t exactly go smoothly with the military, either. He had to write memos for even the smallest religious accommodation, such as time to perform the traditional Friday prayers. He’d fast during the holy month of Ramadan, though his schedule called for grueling work in the field. Ravenous by the end of the day, he’d come to the mess hall only to find pork chops. He’d raise concerns with his superiors from time to time, but made little ground.
Shabazz said. “I have a real opportunity to be an ambassador for the Army and for my religion.”

We all know how well former Major Nidal Hasan helped soldiers as an army psychiatrist.
Putting a Muslim in charge of other Christian chaplains and soldiers is so wrong that there are no words.
Who the H E L L made this decision ?

Really? A Christian would be court-martialed for making a that statement.

2 days ago I was working with a muzzie on set. We were waiting for him during post production editing and the dude was at the back praying most times. Time is money in my biz but it was getting annoying after awhile..

Sec. Mattis can order the Secretary of the Army to remove him, I assume. “For the good of the Service”.
I do wonder if it is time to return to small, private church meetings & studies in homes. God doesn’t care where you gather. Or would that be playing into the hands of those who made these sort of decisions?

Culture matters!! 1000 differences like this are the reasons people are necessarily different. The Left simultaneously attempts to destroy and minimize western culture, while promoting the idea that "culture" is just a completely unimportant and malleable concept.
“Shabazz” sounds like Black Muslim to me, of which we’ve not been paying much attention.

It took a week and a lot of searching for a -well...someone with gonads, who would just lock up the room with the consecrated Eucharists- to get them and their animal sacrifice reek out of the chapel building. You know, overseas, they have to have access to the common chapel building. People say why don’t they just want a separate building. It’s obvious why they want the same building
This guy? What to make of this? A last ditch appointment before obama is as they say in the ilitary a dot in the rear view mirror. Obama placed a lot of people into high places, i should think. They’re still there. Heck 9/11 was in September. Most people know in their hearts that was a Clinton thing.
