Sure it is a picture. The story should be about the guests not Kellyanne who apparently was taking a photograph from that angle. There is no other reason for her to sit like that in that spot in that setting. She is a professional. This is a nothing burger. Idiot press.

Let Carly run for senate in VA in 2018 and Laura play a key role in the WH. Then she’ll be a great position to run for governor of VA in 2020. That’d set her up beautifully for any higher ambitions from there, as she’d have burnished her executive credentials. (And she’d complete a full term at the same time she’d be completing a full term in the Senate.)
Bringing Laura in at that level would help to offset complaints of sexism if Kellyanne becomes less prominant in the admin, and also give Trump an excuse for her to clean house on the comm team—including the GOPe retreads, such as Karl Rove’s associate now heading up comms, that Priebus planted there.
Apparently they are too young to know what Bill Clinton (and perhaps JFK) are on record as doing in the Oval Office.

Looks like an example of the kind of contortions that result from being asked to get out of the way of a photographer.

Without Kellyanne in the picture this meeting would have been ignored. She used a classic social media tactic to get likes and retweets.
This is exactly what the media does. Zeroes in on some insignificant point but misses the big picture. And then makes a mountain out of a molehill over it, especially if they think it will hurt Trump.
I don't see the "news" about these black leaders of these colleges and universities. All I see is some "fake news" story about Kellyanne being "under fire" from Yahoo for sitting on the couch with her legs under her. "Under fire" from whom? Them?
This was not the formal photograph of the event. This was an outtake. Kellyanne was not taking the official photo. Some photographer was setting up getting ready to take the official photo and Kellyanne was taking one for herself. This is nothing more. Nobody at the event seems outraged or shocked. Several of those standing close to her are smiling at her.
When the media decides to start reporting the real news, instead of some side issue because they don't like Trump or Kelleyanne, then Trump can get on with governing and the media can stop their whining about innocuous things like this.

Several thoughts on this. Kelly Anne seeems like a nice lady who is fiercely loyal to President Trump but my impression is that she likes the limelight and strives to portray a woman 20+ years younger than she is. Now whoever took the photo shown on Drudge should be banned from the WH. In fact, Trump should exercise strict controls over who has cameras and recording devices in his presence including phones. But the funniest thing about it is the expressions on all those black mens’ faces looking sideways at Kelly. Sort of stereotypical in an archaic fashion.
Yahoo and the Daily Mail are tabloid-like sources. Just read the Daily Mail link. It reads like an anti-Trump screed.
