I was surprised her shoes were on. Breech of etiquette.

She should apologize so we can move on to more important things.

I take it from this picture that this is a case of an "in progress" still photo taken out of context?

The photo suggests that Conway is disrespecting the people in the room when, in fact, she was positioning herself on the couch to take a photo of the group, and the photographer caught her while she was adjusting the camera settings moments before?

This reminds me of the inauguration GIF of Melania Trump that was circulating, purporting to show her going from happy to sad because Donald Trump turned around and said something mean to her moments before being sworn in. When you see the larger context of what was really going on, the Rev. Franklin Graham was giving a blessing to the Trump family, and Melania bowed her head in a moment of silent prayer.

It doesn't matter what was really going on, an isolated photo can suggest anything else that the "journalist" wants to pretend.

the criticism seems to involve her having her shoes on.

Hey miss! Hope you’ve been well! I’m home recovering from bunion surgery (ouch!).

It just frosts me when some on our side accept the media’s memes regarding Trump. The Left and MSM can go pound sand! They’re outraged over Kelleyanne taking a pic, but had no problem with WJC getting a BJ! Grr!

Cheers! :-D

GMTA. That is very similar to what I posted in #51 above.
Could be an intentional distraction while new executive orders are signed.

So whomever took the photo (s) releases them to the press without them being screened?

I get the feeling that the WH has totally no control over the information coming out, whether it’s from phone calls or photos.

Someone needs to get control of this and fast. The photo should NEVER have been release without authorization.

I’ve seen closeup photos that show she did have her shoes on. On the other hand, isn’t that the same sofa Obama had in the oval office? The new administration probably has replacement sofas already in the works.

The photo was probably staged so that it would go viral.

Millions of people will see Trump meeting with the black leaders. Win.

Without Kellyanne in the picture this meeting would have been ignored. She used a classic social media tactic to get likes and retweets.

Oh, the horrors!

This is exactly what the media does. Zeroes in on some insignificant point but misses the big picture. And then makes a mountain out of a molehill over it, especially if they think it will hurt Trump.

I don't see the "news" about these black leaders of these colleges and universities. All I see is some "fake news" story about Kellyanne being "under fire" from Yahoo for sitting on the couch with her legs under her. "Under fire" from whom? Them?

This was not the formal photograph of the event. This was an outtake. Kellyanne was not taking the official photo. Some photographer was setting up getting ready to take the official photo and Kellyanne was taking one for herself. This is nothing more. Nobody at the event seems outraged or shocked. Several of those standing close to her are smiling at her.

When the media decides to start reporting the real news, instead of some side issue because they don't like Trump or Kelleyanne, then Trump can get on with governing and the media can stop their whining about innocuous things like this.

More than one photo was taken of her on the couch with shoes.
A few close ups where you can see the shoes.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4266510/Kellyanne-Conway-photographed-making-comfortable.html

“Make yourself at home, Kellyanne! White House adviser is taken to task after she makes herself comfortable on the Oval Office couch while wearing her heels as Trump hosts leaders of black colleges
Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Trump, was seen in a series of photos in the Oval Office on Monday
Conway can be seen kneeling on a couch and taking pictures of Trump during his meeting with the leaders of historically black colleges and universities
Agence France-Presse posted images on Twitter with many quick to weigh-in
Climbing on the sofa has been explained as Conway trying to get a better angle to take a photo on her phone”

The pictures were taken to embarrass her. She should apologized and be done with it.

Sounds to me as if individuals within the MSM have obsessively monitored FR and other conservative sites and our complaining about Obama putting his feet up on the desk really burned them up. So, now, they see Conway with her shoes off and feet on the sofa and they go publicly ape**** in print and broadcast as “payback” for comments from private individuals via online forums.

I can’t wait until Trump designers redo the Oval Office and get rid of the tacky

Walmart color scheme. At least they immediately dumped those ghetto red

draperies. UGH!

Not real classy but maybe she has a bad back. It is amazing the left finds this disturbing after Moochells muscle shirts and sprayed on leotards.
