The United States called on Russia Sunday to "immediately" observe the ceasefire in Ukraine, accusing combined Russian and separatist forces of targeting international monitors.

"We call on Russia and the separatist forces it backs to immediately observe the ceasefire, withdraw all heavy weapons, and allow full and unfettered access to the OSCE monitors," the State Department said.

State Department spokesman Mark Toner said the United States was closely monitoring growing violence in eastern Ukraine and the failure of the combined Russian and separatist forces to abide by a ceasefire agreed to two years ago in Minsk.

Russia will as soon as the tire burning radicals stop shooting at Russians.

Nobody got shot in Eastern Ukraine until Russians from Moscow arrived and started their murder. The murder won’t stop until they leave.

“There was nothing covert about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.”

Russia officially denied it, and sent many of their active military into the fight in the Ukraine in civilian clothes, and under the flag of militias of the Russian-speaking minority within the Ukraine.

But yeah, Obama and Merkel knew. More and more damning information came out over time, so that the Russian public began to know as well - but it is still risky in Russia to be vocal about it.

John McCain did.

-”Rewarding aggression and isolationism worked in the 1930’s, why not now?”

Have you guys studied the EU’s demographic projections for a few decades into the future? Muslims will take over from within. This isn’t rocket science and there’s little we can do...

Whether or not we continue to deploy our resources to protect Europe, the writing is on the wall. France, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Italy, will be in the throes of a clash of civilizations with.

Yes, I would rather have a EU controlled by Putin and his commies than by Islamic freaks who want to impose Sharia Law on all of Europe.

If those were your two choices, which one would you choose?

I’ve got news for you, those ARE our two choices.

Great post that everyone should read.

I’ve NO desire for us to get into a shooting war with Russia over things that nefarious forces put into motion.

Nevertheless, Russia took part of another country and at the very LEAST, they have to stop at where they are.

I fear we will see a test of wills between putin and Trump.

I know the right thing is to stand firm, but it i an intense situation.

Right. And history always moves in an absolute predictable path. Right.

Nevertheless, Russia took part of another country

In response to the White House seizing the other half. It all goes back to the 2014 coup, DP.

that’s a very very valid point. I would just like them to stop where they are as the new Administration I don’t think is looking for any trouble.

Yep. And so should the neocon-soros puppets in Washington.

>>Russia is NOT a threat to Americans

Nope. But that's not profitable.

Yes, but they completely botched it...and lost Crimea to the Russians in the process.

Now the whole country is circling the economic drain...with rampant corruption, double digit inflation, on the verge of national bankruptcy, rising fascism and losing an antidemocratic war.

Only a complete fool or anti-Russian bigot would think Ukraine today is better off than it was in 2013, when liberal interventionists and their socialist EU counterparts got involved.

Even more serious is the charge that the Russians hacked the Oscars.

It sucks to say it, but the Russians hacked the Oscars and tried to promote the views of the great movie director, Vlad the Inhaler ( Vladimir Putin the nemesis of the utopian fascist left.)

I think that we should inform John McCain and Lindsey Graham immediately, this is a matter for the Senate Intelligence Committee.

We can’t afford to have the Russians hacking the Oscar voting mechanism. A whole sector of our economy is subject to attack, the Entertainment Sector. Appoint a special prosecutor NOW!

Why isn't the Nuland phone call the biggest scandal in State Dept. history? They are plainly plotting the overthrow of a democratically elected government on Russia's border and installing US/EU puppets to run it. Putin has shown great restraint. What if they'd done this to Canada? The blood of thousands is on the hands of Obama/the EU.

I don’t get it. If you’re a conservative, certain values would seem to be paramount. Among those are: the rule of law, checks and balances on power, sympathy for the oppressed, property rights, the US Constitution, freedom to organize and to dissent, and many more. It’s as if all these values mean nothing to those who admire the former KGB thug.

The US backed the coup in the Ukraine ... so who truly started the mess there ? It wasn’t the Russians...
