The Pope is said to be applying his vision of a 'merciful church' to sex offenders by reducing punishments to weaker sentences, such as a lifetime of prayer and penance.
It has been revealed by church officials that Pope Francis overruled advice given to him by the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith about two priests - allowing them to be punished by a lifetime of prayer.

A lifetime of prayer? Isn’t that his job in the first place?

They choose to take the vow. The ordination happens AFTERWARD. Thus, no one is forbidden to marry. The vow is entirely voluntary - just like marriage vows in themselves.
The man is mentally ill. To go against the advice of the CDF is arrogant and a slap in the face to all victims.
Priests do NOT do marriage counseling—unless they are licensed marriage and family therapists.
And the notion that anyone doing marriage counseling needs to be married is jejune. He needs to be competent, not married.
And men do not TURN INTO pedophiles because they are not married.

OK, I didn’t know about the priest therapist license requirement - but, don’t priests counsel people prior to being married - presumably about marriage?
Priest requirements are insane.
I didn’t say there’s a requirement. Priests obviously have conversations with people. But the image of a couple coming for “counseling” dates from many years ago.
Marriage prep isn’t counseling, either, except in a very loose sense.
This pope is an antichrist.

Of course, publicly they condemn pedophilia, while embracing it behind the scenes.
You seem to be in denial - priests perform marriage counseling all the time.
The Catholic Church is set up to attract gay priests - with a high percentage of those pedophiles. The Church doesn’t seem to care, probably because gays are included in the leadership.
It’s sickening.
