So, why not go with allowing priests to be married?
I’m not a catholic, but it seems to me that becoming a priest with a dedication to the church and to God - foregoing marriage and family is more than passingly strange, especially given that priests provide counseling to people about marriage and family issues.
Being a priest does seem to be an attractive lifestyle for gays, just sayin’.

For many centuries the Church was a place of sanctuary for those who were bothered by the events of the day. The idea of the sanctuary turning evil and being a threat is repulsive. Why can not a same-sex adult male just have sex with another same sex adult male and not try to rape an under-age boy.?! I see the Chatholic Church as being very sick. Maybe not the regular members...but most assuredly the Vatican.

But their bishops don’t marry nor are married men ever made bishops. Also, Eastern Orthodox NEVER allow priests to become married men. They allow married men to become priests. There is a difference.
NO Catholic I know expects anything but leftist thinking from a Jesuit Pope. Hey- at least he expects prayer from pedophile priests; gay priests having sex with adult men, or each other, aren’t even expected to do a minimum penance. As long as the church is infested with GAY clergy( and I believe it’s over 50%, well entrenched and in positions of power) it will get worse. It’s about homosexuality; the vast majority of child victims are male! Instead of the Church standing as a means for believers to raise themselves UP to a higher standard, it has descended to excuse, validate and protect the sinful. Catholics and the Catholic Church are growing farther and farther apart. This Pope wears Catholicism as a thin veneer that is gradually wearing away. JESUIT says it all.
