Gladiator was historically ridiculous but immensely entertaining. I rewatch it from time to time. What recent winner can you say that about?

Gladiator was historically ridiculous but immensely entertaining. I rewatch it from time to time.

The battle scene in the first ten minutes is incredible. But it was never explained why Maximus had an Aussie accent... Nor how he could ride a horse from Germany to Spain in just a couple of days...

I dont know if No Country for Old Men won or not.. but i still watch it all the way through... one of the best I have seen in a LONG time.

LOL, were you not entertained?

I rewatch a lot of movies, my wife watches them once and that is it.

I will have to say I loved the Gladiator, too, and have watched that more than once. “ Amazing Grace” (William Wilberforce story) is my all time favorite but most people have never seen it. : ( Liked the movie better than the book, even (Sorry Eric). Did like the Bonhoeffer book, though.

I liked Last of the Mohicans and Braveheart also and watched those a lot, like Pride and Prejudice.......

Liked the Book Thief which was pretty darn good (I liked the book a lot, too).

Want to see “Silence”, but that is the only recent one. Read the book and not a happy ending, so I can wait.
