Moises Avila was alone in the office, staring at the screen of his desktop computer. A Spanish-language game show blared from the TV. February usually is a bonanza month for the America Travel Agency, the business Avila runs at the corner of Whittier and LaVerne in East Los Angeles. Holy Week is in April, and most of Avila

“And it isn’t just illegal Hispanics,”

40% of illegal aliens are visa overstays. Meaning they almost certainly aren’t from Mexico.

We have huge populations from every part of the 3rd world here in CA now and plenty of them are illegal.

Someone they know comes here legally, and then invites their family and friends to come visit. They never return home since the Bush Republicans and Obama Democrats have no intention of enforcing border law.

Thanks - in spite of it all, I’ve had several amazing things happen. Multiple times, actually. Waiting between them is hardest when the reasonable sanity of normal business goes out the door. Doesn’t mean every job situation was sane, but at least things kept moving.

We had nothing less than a soft coup the past 8 years. A coup populated by people who absolutely wanted to bring the country down and made off like bandits.

I agree with you, and I’m glad you’re still able to keep your head above water.

“The illegal alien industry is huge”

Remember that “invest a million dollars, you get a Green Card” or maybe it’s even citizenship? It must go back nearly to the 80s.

What has happened is that we have brought in people with no allegiance to the country other than making money. The first thing they do is put up a factory and fill it with illegals. The profits are bigger, they don’t care about what it does to SoCal, it’s not their country anyway.

My favorite story is the Korean factory owner who is studying Spanish so that he can better communicate with his workforce. He himself has been here 20 years and doesn’t speak English. He doesn’t need to, because there are plenty of Korean radio and TV channels here to entertain him, and the State of CA has to provide him with an interpreter when he deals with gov’t agencies. This isn’t apocryphal, it really happened.

If they have Green Cards, they have nothing to worry about

Funny you should mention that. We have several at my company that are making comments about self deporting. One that has been a really good worker has an expired green card. A few of the managers met with him and told him they would pay for the renewal (about $800. I understand) but he needed to get it moving right away. He had to fess up that the green card and the social security number are all fakes.

“Deportation results in a 10 year ban on legal re-entry.”

Really? It should result in 50 lashes with a cat o’ nine tails and a lifetime ban on legal re-entry.

You bet. Being in CA, I got to the point where I walk around thinking WTF? The bull sh*t is knee deep, but in CA, we're up to our necks in this criminal illegal alien bull s**t. I have have ZERO patients or tolerance for ANYONE including politicians, who support this widespread lawless chaos.

I actually wrote that assh**e gov Brown yesterday regarding the recent cop who was shot to death.

At this point, Brown should probable leave the state.

Or maybe they finally figured out that they don’t have to go through travel agencies anymore.

No they can now just call ICE and get the travel to Mexico for free.

“We have entire cities in LA County, and a few developing in OC, based on Mexico First.”

Clean’em out. Try deportation first, then go to the bayonet and tanks.

Back to Annandale
Tried to warn you
About Chino and Daddy Gee

Well I hear the whistle but I can't go

I’m all for jailing each and every city worker, politician, etc. who enables criminal activity including this stuff. Real Americans are killed, maimed, robbed, suffer property damage, have their ID stolen, have their credit stolen, etc.

Lock them all up. Every last stinkin’ one of them. Every last one of them that aids and abets. Immediately.

Enforcement of our immigration laws was so lax that illegals felt free to come and go as they pleased. They had no fear if they visited their country they could return here. Easter and Christmas especially they would flood across the border to visit family. I imagine with laws being enforced they are afraid to visit, afraid they won’t be able to just come back.

Sales of spray paint and chrome rims must take a drastic drop following deportations of illegals from neighborhoods. These and E. coli-ridden taquerias are pretty much what passes for business development in East LA.
