According to the governments thinking, not only will it give Muslim migrants work, the hope is that automotive companies like Volvo will use the camels in their advertisements in Sweden. Marketing genius, eh? The government thinks that tourists might come to Sweden to pet the camels and that there will be fashion shows. Camel products will be sold. I kid you not. And selling of camel milk which is said to help autism, which is completely untrue. Camel milk does not cure autism.

The Swedes are nothing but Turnips and have fallen off the truck.
Maybe they should just import lots and lots of sand to make them feel at home. Camels do live in Mongolia, but why oh why would they bring them to Sweden?? Boy are they DUMB as (ice) rocks up there these days.
They are nasty things. We rode camels in Petra/ Jordan, shamed by the old ladies in our group who were the first ones up! They were covered with fleas, nasty stinky things.
Heh. Can’t make out what it say on the crest. Military plane?
Bactrian camels (two humps) are quite adapted to cold (Mongolia).
Dromedary camels (one hump) are not. They are very ornery critters and like to bite and throw up on those they don’t like.
Nose art on a WWII bomber.
Or better yet - why not re-import the muzzie camel herders back to the where the camels thrive?
Perhaps the rape attacks on women will decrease.
Without even reading the replies, I just know I'm not the first to guess this.
WWII? Cool, but I would’ve guessed A’stan or Iraq. The North Africa campaign then. Might not be allowed these days...
My Mongolian friend says they have two humped camels there. It gets cold there, so maybe they’re getting Mongolian camels imported.

You’re right - It’s not WWII.
I found it again on the below link and it’s from Desert Shield.

Good find. Thanks!
I hear they make good eating. Can’t picture it, though. Just smoking them, the tobacco keeps getting in your teeth.
