Mexico says will 'not accept' unilateral U.S. immigration policies

Mexico will not accept new "unilateral" U.S. immigration proposals, and will not hesitate in approaching the United Nations to defend immigrants, the country's Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray said on Wednesday, ahead of a meeting with senior U.S. officials.

The United States of America, like Mexico, is a sovereign nation. As a sovereign nation, the USA can determine its own laws with regard to immigration and naturalization, and Mexico, or any other nation for that matter, does not have any power to influence or set those policies. For you to imply that Mexico has the power to determine our national policies invites the USA to make the same claim over Mexico’s laws and policies.
