As Democrats head to Atlanta this weekend to vote on their party’s next chair, the race to lead the Democratic National Committee chair is coming down to its two leading candidates.
Rep. Keith Ellison (Minn.) has the edge over former Labor secretary Tom Perez in The Hill’s new survey of DNC members. But while both men claim they are close to securing commitments from the majority of the 447 voting members, neither candidate is assured victory.

A dual national, Mohamed Abdi was active in the Ellison Congressional campaign in the US.
We should not celebrate this. Even though Ellison will weaken the democrats in the short term, democrats will eventually take back power (probably in 2024 or 2028 at the latest). We had better pray that they are not controlled by Ellison fans when that happens, or the outcome will be uglier than anything in world history. And, yes, I know what a high benchmark that is.

Keith Ellison (D-Islam) is a perfect representative for the Party of Domestic Enemies.
However, the fact that he is even being considered is evidence of a major problem. The political ‘pendulum’ has lost its governors and is swinging wildly.
While I like where the pendulum is now, and where it seems to be heading, I am truly scared about where it will go when it swings back - as it inevitably must.
And when it finally breaks, all hell will break lose.
