U.S. President Donald Trump's administration plans to consider almost all illegal immigrants subject to deportation, but will leave protections in place for immigrants known as "dreamers" who entered the country illegally as children, according to official guidelines released on Tuesday.

The Department of Homeland Security guidance to immigration agents is part of a broader plan for border security and immigration enforcement in executive orders that Trump signed on Jan. 25.

Former President Barack Obama issued an executive order in 2012 that protected 750,000 immigrants who had been brought into the United States illegally by their parents. Trump has said the issue is "very difficult" for him.

The Republican president campaigned on a pledge to get tougher on the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the United States, playing on fears of violent crime while promising to build a wall on the border with Mexico and to stop potential terrorists from entering the country....

I would wait before I went bonkers, Trump WILL ENFORCE e-verify with a vengeance, he WILL ALSO take ALL BENEFITS away from illegals once the jobs DRY UP and the benefits DRY UP they will go home on their own!!! NO COURTS, NO MASSIVE DEMONSTRATIONS it may take a little while but NOT that long!!! Employers WILL be held accountable and fined heavily for employing ANYONE ILLEGAL!!! There is MORE than one way to solve a HUGE problem and this Is the way Trump will do it!!! WALL first then BAM employers better get their ducks in a row especially restaurants, farmers, and construction managers!!!!

you commit to deporting them in the order that you encounter them. anything else is a dodge.

he ran on building a wall and deporting illegals. all of this e-verify stuff, especially the part about turning construction managers into ICE agents (or felons), was never part of the deal.

E-verify is how Alabama got rid of their illegals. It’s one of the cheapest way to get rid of them.

e-verify may have been how alabama got rid of its illegals during the amnesty driven, open borders days of the obamites, but it shouldn’t be the primary tool in the tool box now.

THAT was then, THIS is NOW, and NOW is supposed to be BETTER than THEN.

that’s why we had the election, and immigration was the primary driver in both the primaries and the general election. people would have a legitimate gripe if the DACA exception stands.

Says who and why? The best way to implement a policy is the cheapest and least disruptive manner possible. E-verify is that policy.

>THAT was then, THIS is NOW, and NOW is supposed to be BETTER than THEN.

Better how? Employers who employee illegals are robbing American workers of their livelihood. I have no problem tossing them in jail for their crimes if they continue it once we’re enforcing the law again.

defending DACA by insisting that e-verify is totally swell and employers massively suck is missing (or perhaps evading) the point.

Do you employee illegals? Your objections scream projection.

On DACA I’ve made the point repeatedly that fighting it is walking into a media trap which is probably why Trump isn’t doing it right away. Winning politically requires small steps in directions that most people can agree upon. The left has won in this manner for years and we need to replicate it.

you’re changing the subject again. and, you’re practicing psychology (a decidedly liberal infested industry) without a license.

it’s a flip-flop. deal with it. maybe he’s earned it; certainly, nobody is perfect. but don’t unsult us by defending DACA by changing the subject to a bunch of sh*t that simply isn’t part of the conversation.

. . . Also, I don’t know if he would have gotten through the primaries advocating DACA, and I doubt he would have gotten the turnout he enjoyed in the general election by advocating DACA.

since the day he declared his candidacy, donald trump hasn’t once done anything in small steps, nor has he avoided a single fight with the media (he has done the contrary probably a hundred times), and he has endlessly decried the notion of winning politically through half measures.

I don’t know the guy you’re describing. it certainly isn’t donald trump.

why is he picking DACA to become some other person ?

I’m not changing the subject. I responded to your post full whining about E-verify.

I and most people barley give a damn about DACA due to the limited scope program and the political popularity of the idea. There’s much bigger and much easier to fix illegal immigration problems to deal with.

I’m beginning to wonder if the people harping endlessly on DACA are paid trolls trying to divide up the right.

Statements and implementing policy are different subjects. And if you’d paid attention to his actual policies instead of the media’s blowups about them, then you’d know that all of Trump’s policy changes have been incremental while doing quite a few of them in many areas at once.

Trump’s not afraid of the media, but he’s also smart enough to know that small reasonable changes that the media blows up at are easier to do and it makes it much harder for the media to generate outrage when he pushes the much less popular changes through. Incremental policy changes are how you win.

you’re deluded if you don’t think DACA is a big deal. people have used “deal breaker” in this thread many, many times. I think that’s probably an overreaction, but Obama’s DACA decree is a YUGE deal for conservatives.

It was a huge deal at FR, too. where you even here for that sh*t storm? I’m beginning to wonder why this isn’t making sense to you.

I’m also beginning to wonder why you seem so attached to DACA. could there be personal reasons? just a question . . .

you don’t support donald trump. you support some bizarre Frankenstein that you’ve cobbled together in your head, and labeled it donald trump.

and you appear to have gone through this elaborate exercise just so you can embrace DACA, which is . . . odd. and maybe a little suspicious.

It seems to be the same small group of people using deal breaker over and over again. And yet no I know cares that much about compared to the 5,000 other problems caused by illegal immigration. And I’ve also seem the same term popup on reddit posted by obvious ShareBlue trolls trying to divide up the right. Which is why I’m wondering about your behavior. Nor have I heard of anyone on the right being against E-verify like you are. Sets off a lot alarm bells.

>I’m also beginning to wonder why you seem so attached to DACA. could there be personal reasons? just a question . . .

Because I’m not an idiot. The only type of pro illegal immigration propaganda that works is the dreamers crap. Most people view it quite favorably which is a real edge in a propaganda war which is what we and Trump are experiencing right now. The solution to effective propaganda is to defang it before you implement the needed policy.

You’re the won whining about Trump in this thread, not me. Now I’m convinced that you’re a paid troll. Good night.

The media has been pulling this game on conservatives for almost two years: "CON MAN TRUMP IS BETRAYING YOU ON IMMIGRATION!"

And conservatives fall for it. Every. Damn. Time.

Don't listen to anyone, just watch what he does.
