U.S. President Donald Trump's administration plans to consider almost all illegal immigrants subject to deportation, but will leave protections in place for immigrants known as "dreamers" who entered the country illegally as children, according to official guidelines released on Tuesday.

The Department of Homeland Security guidance to immigration agents is part of a broader plan for border security and immigration enforcement in executive orders that Trump signed on Jan. 25.

Former President Barack Obama issued an executive order in 2012 that protected 750,000 immigrants who had been brought into the United States illegally by their parents. Trump has said the issue is "very difficult" for him.

The Republican president campaigned on a pledge to get tougher on the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the United States, playing on fears of violent crime while promising to build a wall on the border with Mexico and to stop potential terrorists from entering the country....

Mistake, but let’s see if this is a “for now.”

Everything else has been 100% as promised.

If they’re assets to this country, let them stay. If they’re burdens, kick them out.

I think the same should be applied to democrats.

DACA has an expiration date in just a few years at which those who signed on agreed to go home. If President Trump did away with DACA, it would end up in court, dragged out beyond that date. Besides that, if it ended up in court, they'd find a traitor judge who let the invaders stay in the US forever. This way, they have to stay within the law to even stay that long.

So, yeah, I agree with them staying. What I disagree with is continuing to issue DACA status.

...750,000 immigrants who had been brought into the United States illegally by their parents.

All I see is 750,000 illegal aliens who need to be removed...right along with their illegal alien parents.

SO, by him doing nothing/letting expire is in effect doing something. I guess that’s how you can look at it.

If I don’t follow the law I face punishment and I sure don’t get to choose which laws I will and will not follow, so why does an illegal alien get a choice?

If that crack was meant to refer to me, then you are not only to stupid to tie your own shoes, but insane!

Unlike you, I was #1 TRUMP supporter from the time he threw his hat into the ring, on ALL of the TRUMP RALLY THREAD from the beginning, and was in the forefront of every debate about why Trump was better than anyone else and would win the presidency. So take your snark, IF that was snark meant for me, and shove it where the sun don't shine...johnny-come-lately to the right side, IF, you are a Trump supporters at last.

There is also about 1 million outstanding deportation orders that has yet to be acted upon. He’ll get to DACA.

It’s probably the fastest way to get rid of them, since the courts are out of control.

That’s my take. If someone was carried here as a toddler cut them a break. Not teen gang bangers.

As long as these “dreamers” stay off of the public dole, learn English and integrate and denounce dual citizenship, ok. We can save those that don't for last....

Anybody else find this unacceptable?

Yep, I do!

Those who came to this country illegally, regardless of age, should be deported and told they are welcome to come back legally. Period.....

President Trump does have to prioritize deportations, and the “DREAMers” are the most sympathetic of illegals. I’m okay with him deporting them last.

However, I want to see several firm standards that will never be compromised:
“All illegals who cannot prove they were residents prior to January 20, 2015, two years before President Trump restored the presidency, all illegals who committed ANY additional crimes after their illegal entry, all illegals living under a stolen identity, and all illegals who voted in a federal election will be deported as a high priority along with the rest of the felons.”

I’d like to deport them all immediately, but deporting most of them plus putting an absolute stop to new illegal arrivals is fairly close.

is a DHS spokesman good enough for you? from a story in the az republic :

New deportation rules issued by President Donald's Trump's administration on Tuesday cast a wide net but exclude one notable group: 750,000 young undocumented immigrants known as "dreamers."

Gillian Christensen, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security, confirmed that deportation protections granted under a program created by former President Barack Obama remain in effect.

This is not what he campaigned on.

Deport. Enforce immigration law. Secure the border. Deny benefits to ILLEGAL aliens.

an illegal that has to first commit a crime before he draws ICE’s attention has more than likely already hurt someone. I’m sure we all remember what trump said when he announced; that they’re bringing rapist and murderers.

so, we’re talking about being okay with a rape or murder being the prerequisite for an illegal being deported. that really is the implication here.

that’s totally not what we heard early on.
