WASHINGTON Mitch McConnell says he was surprised Donald Trump won on election night last year.
That may be true, but no one more brilliantly or shrewdly set the wheels in motion for President Trump's victory than the Senate majority leader from Kentucky.

I agree with you. I realize Congress is all about compromise and the Senate, in particular, needing 60 votes for most major bills, but the republicans seem to be uniquely toothless. Great last sentence: They are just the only option that offers any hope at all.

I’m inclined to give him that one, keeping Obama’s judge from being appointed. Although to be accurate, McConnell staved the appointment of to ensure a Republican pick, any Republican.

A good turtle test is if Rule 19 gets implemented
That is limits Senate speakers to 2 speeches on any one topic
forces a 50 vote ending.

He took care of his wife and there’s no telling how much she nagged him to get her a cabinet job
