Simon & Schuster cancels book deal with Milo Yiannopoulos
Washington Times ^

First CPAC, now Simon & Schuster.

Milo Yiannopoulos lost a second gig Monday afternoon over his remarks defending underage pederasty, when Simon & Schuster cancelled plans to publish a book by the gay conservative provocateur this summer.

Adam Rothberg of the publisher’s public relations department made the announcement on Twitter Monday afternoon.

“After careful consideration @simonschuster and its @threshold_books have cancelled publication of Dangerous by Milo Yiannopoulos,” Mr. Rothberg wrote.

“Dangerous,” a title playing off of Mr. Yiannopoulos’s “Dangerous Faggot Tour,” had been set by a June 13 release by Threshold, the conservative- Yiannopoulos was recently disinvited from the Conservative Political Action Conference after a podcast emerged in which he appeared to endorse sexual relationships between “younger boys and older men”.

He said young boys "discover who they are" through such relationships. And even if they are sexual in nature can "give them security and safety and provide them with love and a reliable rock where they can't speak to their parents".

Yiannopoulos' $250,ooo book deal was met with significant criticism because much of he espouses racist, sexist, and transphobic from his prominent platform.

Go immediately to Amazon and order this book.

I already had it in my shopping cart as a “preorder.” Amazon just said “not available from that seller. Do you want to reorder it?” I clicked yes.

the right wanted to do this long ago, and waited until after the election as he had been a useful tool. I always had an issue with their pragmatism regarding this, as Milo’s a degenerate and it has nothing to do with him being gay.

So yes, the attacks have been coordinated... good riddance to a vile human.

There’s a thread today on Breitbart firing him.

I don't think I am defending Milo as a person, and I am definitely not defending his lifestyle. I am categorically against pedophilia regardless of the politics of the persons involved.

I'm just pointing out that his message, which included some conservative elements, was resonating with a lot of people that the left wants to keep locked into leftist indoctrination. In other words, he was effective, so the left is trying to take him out.

Check out his February 10 podcast called “The Tour Continues”. I think it is from a Washington (state) campus.

In it he can be construed as to attempting to normalize sex with adults as a youth and as an adult. He’s over-reaching with this in America though it may fly in the UK.

Speaking of Simon & Schuster supporting child rape...

Can Simon & Schuster’s new Muslim imprint ease publishing’s diversity problem?

"I think the high tide watermark of Milo is over. He could have been a force for good but his narcissistic ego ran away with him."

A gay narcissist? I'm shocked!

But I agree: he had his opportunity, and blew it.

Think I'm with Simon and Schuster on this one.

A mainstream, button-down publisher for MILO...?

Hey, this is GOOD news.

No pothead will buy from WalMart, which assuredly will get into the pot game, some day.

And the millions of young fans who love Milo will now SNAP HIS BOOK UP in much greater numbers —the ultimate would be if Milo makes it FREE.

Simon & Schuster and Adam Rothberg have helped Milo much more than they realize.

Lets be serious.

You think anyone is going to defend you when they come for you next?

You aren’t buying protection points because you play “who cares about that guy”.

These people targeted him for how effective he was. And it serves as a clear warning for everyone on the right to shut up or else.

How much Pizzagate crap have you posted and now you’re defending Milo’s comments?

Simon and Schuster probably paid part of that $250k as an advance for Dangerous. Whatever part of that he has in his pocket, I believe he is entitled to keep. The "morals" stuff will not hold up in court, as he is a known gay guy anyway, and so is probably a significant percentage of Simon and Schuster employees. They don't call it Simon and Shyster for nothing. Meanwhile, it's still #1 on AMZ's bestseller list. You don't think another house will pick up this money making title in a flash? Probably up the advance, too, as controversy sells books.

Well pat yourself on the back.

The real degenerate is the right-winger that cheers. Your turn will be soon enough, and then you will be the vile one, and no one is going to come to your aide.

Since when do we condemn people for expressing themselves?

I don’t like what a lot of people say, but I hate people who tell me what I can not say! Milo has from the get go an advocate for free speech. The haters deny Milo the right (under our laws) to communicate his thoughts on a topic - that he even experienced! Not all humans are born into good families.

If the CPAC cucks condemn him for words, they slander the Constitution and they give the globalist communists the ability to deny all of us the ability to wish each other a Merry Christmas!

Milo is from Europe. Europeans are not so backward when it comes to topics about sex! Culturally, I give him space here. His record on the topic stands for itself. He has probably spoken to many gay people about their life experiences.

So what part of Milo's "views" do you find intolerable? Here's what he posted a few hours ago:

I am a gay man, and a child abuse victim.

I would like to restate my utter disgust at adults who sexually abuse minors. I am horrified by pedophilia and I have devoted large portions of my career as a journalist to exposing child abusers. I've outed three of them, in fact -- three more than most of my critics. And I've repeatedly expressed disgust at pedophilia in my feature and opinion writing. My professional record is very clear.

But I do understand that these videos, even though some of them are edited deceptively, paint a different picture.

I'm partly to blame. My own experiences as a victim led me to believe I could say anything I wanted to on this subject, no matter how outrageous. But I understand that my usual blend of British sarcasm, provocation and gallows humor might have come across as flippancy, a lack of care for other victims or, worse, "advocacy." I deeply regret that. People deal with things from their past in different ways.

As to some of the specific claims being made, sometimes things tumble out of your mouth on these long, late-night live-streams, when everyone is spit-balling, that are incompletely expressed or not what you intended. Nonetheless, I've reviewed the tapes that appeared last night in their proper full context and I don't believe they say what is being reported.

I do not advocate for illegal behavior. I explicitly say on the tapes that I think the current age of consent is "about right."

I do not believe sex with 13-year-olds is okay. When I mentioned the number 13, I was talking about the age I lost my own virginity.

I shouldn't have used the word "boy" -- which gay men often do to describe young men of consenting age -- instead of "young man." That was an error.

I am certainly guilty of imprecise language, which I regret.

Anyone who suggests I turn a blind eye to illegal activity or to the abuse of minors is unequivocally wrong. I am implacably opposed to the normalization of pedophilia and I will continue to report and speak accordingly.

Oh, yeah, hypocrisy abounds on this one. Early on, I enjoyed Milo following him on Facebook and You Tube but he got more and more sloppy as time went on and started attacking ordinary Americans who had weight problems and accusing Republicans of “being mean to gays, women and blacks”. This from a very young man who had been in America less than a year and apparently knew very little about the historic origins of the Democrat party much less the Republican party. I’m afraid our British friends do not feel it is necessary to educate themselves on one of their former colonies.

I also disliked that Milo pretended to be Catholic or a Jew depending on who he was talking to.

That said, keep at it, Tiger! You’re one of my most respected freepers.
