BREAKING: Milo Yiannopoulos Disinvited From CPAC Over Pedophilia Commentary
mediaite ^ | 2/20/2017 | JD Durkin

Posted on 02/20/2017 10:42:51 AM PST by johnk

According to Townhall’s and frequent Fox News contributor Guy Benson, controversial Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos has been disinvited from speaking at the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in DC, a report that was quickly confirmed by the ACU Chair.

Milo will be disinvited from #CPAC, I’ve just been told.

— Guy Benson (@guypbenson) February 20, 2017

Yiannopoulos’ initial invitation drew criticism, especially after a questionable clip emerged on social media revealing the Breitbart editor appearing to at least “advocate” for pedophilia. The clip, which was first put online by The Reagan Battalion, quickly made the rounds Sunday; Yiannopoulos says in the video:

TOPICS: Constitution/Conservatism; Culture/Society; Extended News; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: breitbart; clickbait; cpac; cpac2017; fakenews; homosexualagenda; itsokbecausetrump; manboylove; milo; milocpac; milopedophilia; pederasty; populists; whatdidhesay; yiannopoulos

On one hand I am (more than) a little uncomfortable when Milo plays the “fairy” but on the other hand I think it makes him a more effective anti-liberal when a profoundly gay man aggressively lectures liberals on the insanity and hypocrisy of the liberal agenda.

I tried to watch the clip but it was a bit much for me.

Totally agree, they do truly need to investigate it. I’m hearing there’s so many of them that it would bring nearly the entire government down. I’m also hearing there’s video that’s being used as blackmail of sorts. Graham, McCain and many more, that make no sense whatsoever re: certain decisions, really has to make ya wonder.

” I do not support pedophilia. Period. It is a vile and disgusting crime, perhaps the very worst. There are selectively edited videos doing the rounds, as part of a co-ordinated effort to discredit me from establishment Republicans, that suggest I am soft on the subject.

If it somehow comes across (through my own sloppy phrasing or through deceptive editing) that I meant any of the ugly things alleged, let me set the record straight: I am completely disgusted by the abuse of children.

Some facts to consider:

1. I have outed THREE pedophiles in my career as a journalist. That’s three more than any of my critics and a peculiar strategy for a supposed pedophile apologist.

(a) Luke Bozier, former business partner of Louise Mensch
http://kernelmag.dailydot.com/…/menshn-co-founder-embroile…/
http://kernelmag.dailydot.com/…/…/3746/luke-bozier-arrested/

(b) Nicholas Nyberg, anti-GamerGate activist who self-described as a pedophile and white nationalist
http://www.breitbart.com/…/leading-gamergate-critic-sarah-…/

(c) Chris Leydon, a London photographer who has a rape trial starting March 13 thanks to my reporting.
http://www.breitbart.com/…/tech-city-darling-chris-leydon-…/

2. I have repeatedly expressed disgust at pedophiles in my journalism.
http://www.breitbart.com/…/heres-why-the-progressive-left-…/

3. I have never defended and would never defend child abusers, as my reporting history shows. The world is messy and complicated, and I recognize it as such, as this furore demonstrates. But that is a red line for any decent person.

4. The videos do not show what people say they show. I *did* joke about giving better head as a result of clerical sexual abuse committed against me when I was a teen. If I choose to deal in an edgy way on an internet livestream with a crime I was the victim of that’s my prerogative. It’s no different to gallows humor from AIDS sufferers.

5. National Review, whose journalists are tweeting about this, published an article defending Salon for giving a pedophile a platform.

6. I did say that there are relationships between younger men and older men that can help a young gay man escape from a lack of support or understanding at home. That’s perfectly true and every gay man knows it. But I was not talking about anything illegal and I was not referring to pre-pubescent boys.

7. I said in the same “Drunken Peasants” podcast from which the footage is taken that I agree with the current age of consent.

8. I shouldn’t have used the word “boy” when I talked about those relationships between older men and younger gay men. (I was talking about my own relationship when I was 17 with a man who was 29. The age of consent in the UK is 16.) That was a mistake. Gay men often use the word “boy” when they refer to consenting adults. I understand that heterosexual people might not know that, so it was a sloppy choice of words that I regret.

9. This rush to judgment from establishment conservatives who hate Trump as much as they hate me, before I have had any chance to provide context or a response, is one of the big reasons gays vote Democrat.

10. In case there is any lingering doubt, here’s me, in the same interview the other footage is taken from, affirming that the current legal age of consent is about right: “And I think the law is probably about right. It’s probably roughly the right age. I think it’s probably about ok. But there are certainly people who are capable of giving consent at a younger age. I certainly consider myself to be one of them, people who were sexually active younger. I think it particularly happens in the gay world, by the way.”

Milo has been on the front lines fighting the America first battle with Trump, bravely and with little help outside we the people, just like Trump. He deserves the benefit of the doubt and support but instead he gets diced up at the first sign of trouble and handed to the enemy.

And if these people were serious about molestation being bad they would more honestly look into PizzaGate, which is real.

So true.

The left has named molestation of young teens as pedophilia to attack priests. The one case I knew of the boy was 14 and he and the family claimed it was consensual. I don’t know whatever happened to Fr. Jamie. He was the person who trained my sons to be altar boys. They say he never hit on them. But it was upsetting for our family. He was arrested and last I heard he was shipped off somewhere.

I’ll give Milo a pass on this one. I’m sure he wasn’t advocating pedophilia. And everybody slips up and he’s under intense scrutiny. His denial and explanation was very good too.

I am not going to stop reading and enjoying Milo, but this statement comes a bit close to the edge.

I was went to a Christmas party years ago at the home of a gay friend in San Francisco. Nice house, great food, charming crowd (I wasn’t the only woman or straight person there). Among the guests were a couple of older gay guys with what looked to be teenagers. They were acting like good dads, but it seemed possible to me that they were grooming the youngsters. Among other things, I wondered where they found those boys, were they homeless or fatherless?

Later, a gay fellow who had been a very good friend to me said, “If I told you what went on between (and among) gay guys behind closed doors, you wouldn’t like me any more.”

If you live in SF, and especially if you work in the arts, you have gay friends if you have any friends at all. But they’ll never be your best friends, more like charming, funny people you enjoy at parties.

I would never hesitate to read, or even have lunch with Milo. I’d go to his talk if he spoke at CPAC. And I hope he does.

But it’s also trying to minimize that trauma of being molested by trying to “normalize” it, as if by engaging in same-sex acts made what happened to not seem so out of the ordinary.

It might also be out of a sense of revenge....Since somebody did it to me, I’m going to do it to somebody else.

Before video: I find it hard to imagine Milo advocating pedophillia. I find it far easier to imagine him being intentionally taken out of context and slandered.

Just saw video: He was being interviewed by somebody being aggressive and trying to find something wrong with him...and he was being very forthcoming and open. He volunteered that he had given head to a catholic priest after he had reached puberty but was still young enough to be in school. The interviewer tried to nail him down on his age and suggested 14, and Milo entertained that he may have been that age without clarifying. What Milo made clear was that he was the one that was seeking to give head to the priest and not the other way around. He refused to out the priest because he did not want the priest in trouble.. He also voiced some suspicion about pedophillia may have been going on other places based on a lot of young boys being about, I think he meant Hollywood but not sure, because but he apparently did not want to name who he was suspicious about. Its not clear if he had any hard evidence worth making an accusation over.

And this got twisted into him defending the practice of pedophillia by being conflated with him defending alleged pedophiles by not wanting to name names.

If such equivocal logic is valid, then all leftists who defend Islam are guilty of advocating the common sex crimes of Islam, including rampant pedophilia, honor killings, and the rape game. In short, it makes just about the entire Left, rape apologists.
