Also the hometown of George Lucas and the setting for American Graffiti, which was actually filmed in Santa Rosa.

And Carol Channing lived here.

Oroville now has plenty of room to handle the current and projected rainfall.

For at least another week of this crazy year.

I read about Roberts’ victories in Motorcyclist mag in the early 90’s, along with a guy named Eddie Lawson...

Hey, California spent their money on ‘global warming boondoggles’, illegals and other assorted liberal elite unicorn projects... this isn’t their fault (or so will say the liberal newspapers who are just as stupid and vile as they are)

Liberal elites did the best they could for idiot indoctrinated liberals... ya gotta give ‘em that... Liberal elites are waaaaay too important to think about ‘little things’ like dams and safety for their citizens.

Hollywood sets their values after all - and we know what genius that group puts out...

Don’t forget Scott Peterson of Modesto who felt his wife Laci, 8 months pregnant, was really dragging down his cheating lifestyle. So he murdered her (and unborn baby Conor) on Christmas and then tied her in a tarp to his boat, trailed it up to San Francisco Bay on a day with horrible weather, you know, to “go fishing,” and dumped them. He’s still a ladies’ man but he’s on Death Row now. Conor would have just turned 14.

A primary source of water for central valley agriculture is pumped well water, from 2011-2015. Aquifer levels have gone down to historic lows.

That water will not be replenished this year, but should at least turn around and go up.

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been wondering about the Don Pedro water level...

Oroville got all of the news coverage, but it’s been building up at Don Pedro too.

Nine reservoirs in the Feather River watershed feed directly into Lake Oroville. These have held back discharge of water and are at capacity.

Right now there is a river of moderate to heavy rain moving NE from San Jose toward Placerville. It’s about 80 miles wide.

Most of the rain is being dumped in the Consumnes, Mokulumne and Tuolumne watersheds. And the American River watershed.

That line is moving slightly south.

Modesto will be very wet tomorrow. As will the lands just downstream of where the Tuolumne joins the San Joaquin River on into the delta islands.
