Will that be one state or two?
Pres Trump told PM Netanyahu in their joint press conference on Wednesday, he that likes the one both parties like. He also said on another occasion that he wasnt going to pressure Israel to make a deal.
The importance of his remarks is that the object of the exercise for the US is to make a deal rather than to create a Palestinian state. The push back on this has been substantial, not only from the EU and the UN but also from some officials in the State Department.
To deflect some of the criticism, the Nikki Haley, the US Amb to the U.N., framed it this way, We absolutely support the two-state solution but we are thinking out of the box as well.
The solution to what will bring peace in the Middle East is going to come from the Israelis and the Palestinian Authority, Haley said. The United States is just there to support the process.
Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Emirates have been working together with Israel to confront their common enemy, Iran. Both Netanyahu and Trump want to build on this and formalize it. They hope that as part of building this alliance, Saudi Arabia and the Emirates will soften their demands on Israel regarding the solution to the Arab/Israeli conflict or perhaps enter a peace agreement with Israel without reference to the conflict.
DEBKAfile reports that
these sentiments reflected agreement in principle between Trump and Netanyahu to seek an Israeli peace accord with Saudi Arabia and the Gulf emirates as the lead-in to negotiations for an accord with the Palestinians. Egypt, Jordan and Turkey with whom Israel already has normal relations would jump in later.

Creation of a “Palestinian” state out of land that belongs to Israel is justifying the lie that there are any true Arab Palestinians in the first place. They’re all from surrounding countries that won’t take them back.
one man one vote sounds like a sensible way forward
This is a good way to flush out the anti-Semite Leftists.
I think a two state solution would be a good solution for California.
We know that.
Putting the “Pallies” on the spot to agree about something with Israel is going to make them melt until they sue for peace with what will be a 1 state solution and they’re just a region in it.

European countries don’t have money in their budget for NATO which they agreed to, but yet they have large sums of money for Abbas PLO.
I don’t want America giving one cent more to either PLO or Hamas. We have a big deficit and need to cut back of foreign aid. Israel’s aid is loans they pay back with interest on the purchase of airplanes, and missile systems made in the USA, employing tens of thousands of Americans in the Aerospace and defense industry.
I am still annoyed at the unproven charges Gen Flynn did something wrong. John Bolton doesn’t see anything wrong in what Flynn did. Let the release the phone call.
I think VP Pence is to blame for giving the Dems the scalp of a very honorable man Gen. Flynn.
That would also serve as a good headline for a story about California.
