If you believe the media in Sweden, Friday night was relatively uneventful. Among the most noteworthy headlines in the country were reports that a popular Swedish singer had technical problems during a music competition.

This must be what it was like to be an escapee from Soviet Russia reading the NY Times in the 1930’s when the truth of Stalin's gulags and starving people was being spiked. Imagine having reached freedom in America only to have the paper of record, the NY Times, lie to Americans. That is what has happened here with the Swedish report. For now, the NY Times and Wash Post are driving the narrative, but thanks to freedom of the internet the truth is easy to find. Which is why they are smearing Trump as a Stalinist type dictator: the dems have zero ideas so they can only try to destroy their enemies..

I read the same, or similar, article. In the last sentence they mentioned that a “life sentence” in Sweden means 10 years in jail...UNREAL - but they have graduated from saying that the government taking a life (i.e., death sentence) is immoral to saying that the government locking a person away for a long time is now ‘immoral’, regardless, I guess, if they were in the beheading business.

There was a case, maybe 10 or 15 years ago, when we wanted a person (can’t remember if American or not) who was in Europe extradited for murder. The country, Germany I think, wouldn’t do it, because he would face capital punishment. So we said, ok, we promise no capital punishment, they then still said NO, because we might jail the person for life, or close to that long...I don’t know how that ended, but it was an early indication of just how screwed up Europe was becoming.
