One of my less bright in-laws did 10 years for robbing a bakery using a pellet gun.
Bet it didn’t have the orange tip on it.
See, see you mean-old right-wing FReepers! This fine gentleman was learning how to deal with rude customers and proper cash handling transactions!
I know this much, I would not want to be shot with my break barrel .177 cal pellet rifle.
That sucker delivers.
If someone pointed that at me, I’d empty my .40 cal into them.
Don’t you just love seeing the Tax Payer Relief bullet administered to a thug in the street? No room and board no taxpayer paid for lawyer.
As Josey Wales said, “dyin’ ain’t much of a living boy”.
We had similar shootings in Portland OR last week (pellet gun robbers getting shot by cops).
I want to understand why the criminals point pellet guns at cops. I can understand doing it with a real gun because maybe you’ll win the shoot out and get away.
But instigating a gun fight with a pellet gun is guaranteed failure. Are they just that dumb, is it adrenaline, why?
Man Shot, Killed By Police After Bushwick Deli Robbery
Man Shot, Killed By Police After Bushwick Deli Robbery
February 19, 2017 9:28 AM NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) Officers shot and killed a robbery suspect in Bushwick, Brooklyn early Sunday, police said.
As CBS2s Ali Bauman reported, police said it started when the man took out his gun and robbed the Garden Deli, a bodega at Irving Avenue and Starr Street in Brooklyn.
The deli clerk said he was terrified when the man held a gun to his face.
He put a gun next to my face, and he wanted to try to kill me, and he bought the four six-pack beer on top of counter and he said, Bag it up, please, Im going to shoot you right now, the clerk said.
Police were called to the scene around 12:40 a.m., and found the man walking down Starr Street, 1010 WINS Roger Stern reported.
The officers gave verbal commands and engaged the suspect in front of 169 Starr St. The suspect had a black firearm in his hand, and raised it toward the officers, said NYPD Chief of Patrol Terry Monahan.
The officers fired at the suspect and struck him multiple times, police said.
Cellphone video captured the chaotic scene moments after the shots went off.
The suspect was pronounced dead at Woodhull Medical Center, police said.
My family lives here. My mom lives here. What if something go around in the house like, its not safe, one woman said at the scene.
I heard some loud bangs about seven to 10 of them. It was pretty stunning for the area. Its been mostly a safe place for me to be, a man at the scene added.
Police released a photo of the gun they recovered, which was believed to be a pellet gun.
Authorities have not released the name of the man who was shot dead.
Police identify the man shot by cops after he allegedly robbed a Brooklyn bodega with what looked like a gun.
Officers responded to Starr Street near Irving Avenue in Bushwick at about 12:45 Sunday morning, after they say 18-year-old Sergio Reyes robbed Garden Deli and Grill.
Cops say they approached Reyes as he was walking down the street.
He then allegedly pointed an "imitation firearm" at them, prompting the cops to shoot him multiple times.
Reyes died at a nearby hospital.
A deli worker tells us he threatened to kill him during the hold up.
"He tells me bag it up again or I'm going to kill you," the clerk said. "After I bag it up I tell him take whatever you like. Money, whatever you like. Please don't kill me."
"It's not even worth it like pull a gun on someone try to kill them for a couple of beers. It's not even worth it."
Police say Reyes's gun was designed to look like a semi-automatic weapon, but they're unsure at this point what it was capable of doing.
This is the city's third police-involved shooting in the past week.
