Moments ago, Melania Trump appeared before a crowd of rally-goers to introduce her husband, President Donald Trump.
The First Lady began her speech by leading the audience in The Lord’s Prayer. This didn’t sit well with many Twitter users, who quickly began blasting Melania’s use of the prayer.

That’s NOT how the First Amendment works!
There is no “separation” in the Constitution.
The First Amendment specifically states “and the free exercise thereof”.
Did you happen to notice this was a campaign event and NOT a “government” event?

Actually President Trump said he didn’t know Melania was going to pray the Lord’s Prayer... she is her own person and I love her!

Those idiots wouldn’t be able to explain to anyone just what the words “separation of church and state” even mean - let alone how they came about. Ask them what the 1st Amendment is and they’d stare at you...They throw terms around like they really know what they’re talking about. Shallow and ignorant people.
Look at how self absorbed the three guys were sitting behind President Trump as he spoke today in Melbourne, FL; supposedly Trump supporters or why would they be there? They weren’t there to see the President or to hear him; they were there to be on their phones to their buddies to tell them “hey, look at us”. Very disrespectful of the president and I wish he’d seen it. I don’t think he would have hesitated to call them out for it. I bet they couldn’t repeat a word of his speech. Their laughter and hand signals to the cameras weren’t in response to anything the president was saying...

All of Trump’s rallies have had at least one invocation prayer. His Inauguration had SIX prayers. All presidents’ inaugurations have had prayers.
The libs’ problem is not that Melania said a prayer, but that she’s drop-dead gorgeous and makes their “so-called women” look like the dogs they are.

I think she was praying for his safety and hers and for the grace to forgive the cruelty being flung at both of them
