Pruitt OK'd as EPA chief over environmentalists' objections
Associated Press ^ | Feb 17, 2017 7:37 PM EST | Michael Biesecker

Over the strong objections of environmental groups, the Senate confirmed Scott Pruitt to lead the Environmental Protection Agency on Friday, giving President Donald Trump an eager partner to fulfill his campaign pledge to increase the use of planet-warming fossil fuels.

Pruitt was sworn in later Friday by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito.

In six years as Oklahoma’s attorney general, Pruitt filed 14 lawsuits challenging EPA regulations that included limits on carbon emissions from coal-fired power plants. He also sued over the EPA’s recent expansion of water bodies regulated under the Clean Water Act, a federal measure opposed by industries that would be forced to clean up polluted wastewater. […]

Pruitt’s supporters cheered his confirmation, hailing the 48-year-old Republican lawyer as the ideal pick to roll back environmental regulations they say are a drag on the nation’s economy. …

That is why it is a good thing to add “/s” if you are going for humor otherwise, people will assume you mean what you post and you may get called out on it.

I was confused by BobL post as well.

I am positive the poster was being facetious. If I am wrong then he needs to find another site.

Um... did you read the poster’s tag line, as he said to do?

He was being sarcastic.

Be nice if the EPA was streamlined down to Pruitt only.

So is there any article about how successful these 14 lawsuits have been? Some are probably still in progress and thus undetermined, but if he WON some of them, that would indicated that he had a legitimate case against the
EPA. If they were unsuccessful, it would indicate that he was just being obstructionist.

The Left LOVES lawsuits in defense or support of their issues.

I am pretty sure he is being sarcastic and rubbing it in the nose of the Never Trumpers, who would have seen Hilary elected before Trump. The Never Trumpers are the enemies. He is just calling them out with his sarcasm, I think.

That is why he clarifies that with his tagline saying why he is being a “Fake Never Trumper”.

Because some people like you actually take him seriously, he has tried to clear that up in his tag line. Go back to his post and read his tagline. It should demonstrate he is just being satirical.

“You are a disgrace to this website. Go to hell.”
“Is there a /Sarcasm tag hidden in there, somewhere?”

Just my tag line.

I saw a NeverTrumper on Fox last night, it was SICKENING. She’s apparently a US News ‘Conservative’ commentator and she’s saying stuff like “Trump is president now, he needs to act like a president”...and the Fox person called her out on it - the beach is still out there blasting Trump, even after all this.

Various posts at FR showed how around half of the EPA’s 8+ Billion dollar budget goes to grants to enviro groups, who in turn sue the EPA and get judges to make case law.

The grants just stopped. Congress must pass law to deny such groups the standing to sue. As for what to do with tyrannical case law, I trust Pruitt has a plan.
