It appears as though Ford is no longer on the Trump bandwagon as the American automaker is backing off of its pledge to cancel the its plans for building a plant in Mexico.

I didn’t hear that they were going to “cancel” the Plant.
They just decided to keep some Production in the USA, not all of it.
Build in Mexico, send the Product overseas.
The DNC hasn’t got the kind of money that Ford will lose when the tariffs get levied.
Now it’s possible that Ford has calculated that the R’s don’t have the votes in Congress.
Tesla it is then!
That would be Ford Shelby GT350, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Nissan GTR or Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
Well, if so the wife’s next car won’t be a Ford.
My 2000 ranger has 145000, still going
I have about 6 weeks before I can order my dream car and I hope GM doesn’t screw up before I order my new Corvette Grand Sport.
I just got an adrenaline rush like I haven’t in a while!
LOVE fast cars.
The Shelby, forget about it.
Forget about it means something is great. Or awful. Or you agree with someone :) NY slang!!
In this case, it means FORGET ABOUT IT!!! I LOVE IT!
They will still build cars for the market south of the border which makes sense in not only the economics but also for differing standards such as the hated CAFE standards we are saddled with. Also a prime consideration is the logistics for the Central and South American markets.
For a better example, go to the 3M site and then navigate to whee you are in the world. The world markets are here to stay what was not being addressed is the trade imbalances that allowed the importation of products made less expensively elsewhere back into this country killing local economies.
About 6 more weeks before I pull the trigger.
FWIW, I had a Nissan Maxima sedan that I drove to HELL and back!
It was a 1994. I bought it with 25K miles on it - it belonged to a doctor and was his ‘emergency’ vehicle if he got called out in the night.
When I was ready to upgrade, 15 years later, it had 260K on it and STILL ran like a top! (I did the basic, recommended maintenance on it and oil changes on time, always!) It was front-wheel drive, so I replaced the front tires twice during the time I owned it, putting any still-worthy tires on the back.
I sold it to a co-worker for $500.00 He drove it for a year, then sold it to someone else for...$500.00. As far as I know, she’s still on the road. ;)
I now have a Ford Escape (which I love, Dammit!) and a 2000 VW Golf, also an amazingly sturdy girl! (40K on the Golf!)
You’re kidding right? You’re getting a Grand Sport?
Go through the build process and get it exactly the way you want it. If you like to “drive,” I suggest the Z51 model with magnetic rear option.
NICE!!!!!
Incredible on the Maxima and NICE on the VW!
Good grief, you Trump headbangers are embarrassing. What on earth has happened to this website??
Well, I don’t get out much, but I DID take her, ‘Out Among The English’ today. ;)
The VW Golf was my Step-Mom’s. She left it to my Dad when she passed and I took it from him a few years back when he became too BLIND to be driving any longer. He was a danger to himself and others!
She’s my, ‘Rescue Car.’ ;)
Honda for me.
:) 25 years ago I was dating a gal who’s grandmother drove into THREE houses before they took the license away.
Some of their newer stuff looks nice.
