President Trump took his message straight to the people Thursday in a wide-ranging and at times contentious press conference that covered Russian relations, leaks to the media, immigration policy, the final fate of ObamaCare and a multitude of other subjects.
Trump complained at the White House presser that he inherited a mess from President Obama, but nevertheless pledged to fulfill his campaign promises.
Im here again to take my message straight to the people, Trump said. As you know, our administration inherited many problems across government, and across the economy.
To be honest, I inherited a mess at home and abroad a mess, said the president, who has served for less than a month, adding that ISIS has spread like cancer. Another mess I inherited.
Trump also used his nearly half-hour introductory statement to take a stinging shot at the press corps.
The press has become so dishonest that if we dont talk about it, we are doing a tremendous disservice to the American people, said Trump.
The press is out of control. The level of dishonesty is out of control, he added.
The president dismissed reports of chaos within his administration. It is the exact opposite. This administration is running like a fine-tuned machine, he claimed.
The president even touted the crowds expected at an upcoming weekend rally in Florida. I just heard that the crowds are massive, he said of the event scheduled for Saturday.
Speaking of his campaign promises, Trump pledged to deal with the drug problem ailing America, claiming that drugs are becoming cheaper than candy bars.
Trump also said hed issue a new executive order related to a travel ban next week and knocked the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals for blocking his last one. That circuit is in chaos,

Best thing he could’ve done at this moment. The media may cry and whine, but those of who voted for him agree wholeheartedly.
Finally, we got a DUDE in the WH with giant balls. All those little metro-sexuals in the press are bad butt hurt. He just told them the truth and they thought it was hell, cause they can’t handle the truth. Trump needs to pound them into the dirt every day. I wished he had said if he finds the leakers he’d put them all in Leavenworth.
I bet a lot of poor little “comfort” puppies got a kick in the butt too! Nazis are hard to understand. They’ll throw a tantrum at the drop of a hat.
If MSM had a color, it would be LILAC. -
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP did NOT rant. He just spoke & like
the SNOWFLAKES the MSM is, it “felt” like ranting to them.
Trump said that the lame stream media would call his press conference “A rant.” and here is the proof he was right.
It was also a message to us Deplorables who have been patient with the maniacs, hoping they'd accept reality. The message is that it's time for us to say NO MORE and demand that DC gets its act together.
That wasn’t close to a “rant”. Geez, these people.
He destroyed them.
Yep, I could not stop watching it. It was the best press conference I ever saw.
And he let all his enemies ask questions. And he answered them all. He ruled the room.
Between their confused sexual identity and then this, for sure they are going to need therapy.
He said that they would be calling it a rant. He was right. $hit on the NY post.
Funny, Trump said that the headlines would include the word ‘rant’.
.
Poor wittle noozies!
Got their wittle panties dampened did they?
.
I don't care if I'm tired for work tomorrow. That was amazing. The most honest address I have ever seen by a POTUS. He was a man in a room full of wolves and shrugged it off.
Succeed or fail, I will not question his resolve. Truly a great American.
Fighting fire with fire - and he may have some napalm up his sleeve...
Just as Trump predicted.
