BLUFFTON, S.C.- Lauren Malphrus pulled up to the Little Steps Daycare and Preschool in Bluffton around 7:30 a.m. Thursday with her 3-year-old son, Asa, and saw that the windows were darkened.
Confused, she turned back to her car, and soon found that the daycare had closed for the day in support of “A Day Without Immigrants,” a national strike in which immigrants are boycotting work, school and businesses in response to President Donald Trump’s immigration stance and in an effort to show their economic influence in the community.
“Why didn’t they tell me?” she asked loudly. “Why didn’t they call the parents? I’ve got to go to work!”
Malphrus, who was visibly upset, instructed Asa to get in the car and called Asa’s father, hoping he could take their son so she could go to work at J&R Ice Cream Co.
“So it’s closed,” she told him. “And I had no clue until I got here this morning. ... This is so ridiculous. So ridiculous.”
Little Steps, a bilingual daycare, made the closing announcement on its Facebook page Wednesday night as a part of “A Day Without Immigrants” campaign.

Lucky parents. Now they know what sort of place their poor child was in. Now they know to never return.
I bet not many parents pull out, too much trouble to find a new place.
The closest daycare wins.
In the Fort Myers, FL, one daycare did the same thing (others did not), parents were outraged. I don’t expect this daycare to stay open much longer.
Are there illegals working there? Some LEOs should look into that.

If you have ever been married to a woman dependent on daycare you would know:
1. you don’t get a vote
2. any daycare that will keep her kids alive and is on her way to and from work is the daycare you will pay for
They always forget the word illegal in front of the word immigration for some reason.
Get rid of the illegal alien invaders, including the ones that run or work at the day care facility, and the continuous rape of Federal, state, and local taxpayer money goes away. Cut taxes massively, put money back in individuals’ pockets, and only one wage earner needed. No need for day care, spouse becomes full time housewife & mother, man brings home the bacon, wife meets man at the door with drink, slippers, & dinner ready, children & pets happy, everyone happy.

SADLY, YOUR STATEMENTS ARE TRUE. We need to rethink this working mothers thing. That will get me in hot water with mothers but there is no substitute for raising you own.

Where i live I heard on local talk radio that a local business owner had to close today because his employees were not showing up because of “Day with No Immigrants”. He called in to say he was going to open tomorrow, fire the delinquent employees for not coming to work and hire new people.
His comment made my day.

Daycare is a leading cause of criminality. Separating a child from his mother in childhood is child abuse.
