President Trump on Thursday falsely claimed he had the biggest Electoral College win since former President Ronald Reagan.
"I guess it was the biggest electoral college win since Ronald Reagan," he said during a heated press conference at the White House.
"In other words the media is trying to attack our administration because they know we are following through on pledges that we made and they're not happy about it, for whatever reason. But a lot of people are happy about it."
But, in 2012, former President Obama received 332 electoral votes, and in 2008 he won 365 electoral votes.

Trump is still correct in that Bush Sr ran unopposed for the presidency.

What part of the word "guess" don't you understand? A guess is not necessarily factually true is it? In fact, a guess can turn out to be true or false when you look at the facts, but the guess itself is true, assuming the person guessing believes in the guess.
No need to waste time with a correction, his statement already caused a couple of people to show how foolish they are - including the media representative who given one chance to ask the President of the United States a question, asked him about how many electoral college votes Barack Obama got. As if that is of importance to anyone, except wimpy media types looking for some issue to talk about.
Guys like Mitt Romney, or Paul Ryan, or Sen. Collins, or Sen. McCain, or Sen. Graham? Your idea is just what past Republicans have done, try to get along with the press and not respond to attacks. When was the last time you saw any member of the House or Senate speaking out to defend a Republican president? Your idea failed then and it would fail worse today.
Trump's direct to the public method, like Reagan's, is the right way to bypass the left wing media.
I thought it was hilarious! He got the MSM to actually check some facts. Maybe they could do that more often. You know, stuff like “if you like your doctor - you can keep your doctor” or “57 states”. Fact finding can be fun!
