The Media Is Already Linking Oroville Dam Disaster To Global Warming

A number of news outlets claim the near collapse of the Oroville dam's emergency spillway in California is a glimpse of what man-made global warming could bring.

"Oroville Is a Warning for California Dams, as Climate Change Adds Stress," the New York Times reported. "Broken California Dam Is a Sign of Emergencies to Come," reads an article published in Scientific American, adding that "[c]limate change is leading to more extreme rainfalls that can overwhelm infrastructure."

They SHOULD have fixed the main spillway back in 2014 or 2015. If they had fixed it back then, right now the only people worrying about flooding would be at Oroville, because the spillway would be draining at 175,000 cfs, which would flood that town anyway.

Climate scientists called the storm that hit California not long ago as a “100 year” event. Why? Because, for a number of thousands of years California has had such a storm about every 100 years. That takes the cycle of such storms in California back eons ago, and far, far before any human “intervention”.
