White House Plans to Have Trump Ally Review Intelligence Agencies
NY Times ^

Posted on 02/15/2017 7:04:33 PM PST by springwater13

President Trump plans to assign a New York billionaire to lead a broad review of American intelligence agencies, according to administration officials, an effort that members of the intelligence community fear could curtail their independence and reduce the flow of information that contradicts the president’s worldview.

The possible role for Stephen A. Feinberg, a co-founder of Cerberus Capital Management, has met fierce resistance among intelligence officials already on edge because of the criticism the intelligence community has received from Mr. Trump during the campaign and since he became president. On Wednesday, Mr. Trump blamed leaks from the intelligence community for the departure of Michael T. Flynn, his national security adviser, whose resignation he requested.

There has been no announcement of Mr. Feinberg’s job, which would be based in the White House, but he recently told his company’s shareholders that he is in discussions to join the Trump administration. He is a member of Mr. Trump’s economic advisory council.

Mr. Feinberg, who has close ties to Stephen K. Bannon, Mr. Trump’s chief strategist, and Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, declined to comment on his possible position. The White House, which is still working out the details of the intelligence review, also would not comment.

Who better to “merge” 17 intelligence agencies into 2 or 3?

This is sedition punishable by death. I suggest quick trials with immediate hanging on TV!!>>..In the courtyard of the pentagon. All federal employees will be required to tour the hangings twice a day for a week.

If they do to the CIA what you say they did to American industry, it would be a good thing.

Mad Dog Mattis needs to take his knife with him for those one-on-one chats...in case he wants to have cheesecake or something.

“Always carry a knife with you. Just in case there’s cheesecake or you need to stab someone in the throat.” - Gen. Mattis>>> made me laugh forgot he said that.

Unfortunately all intelligence information the President receives comes through filters that Obama put in place. These filters can mold the President's actions, and response.

Close scrutiny needs to be made of all assets put in place by past Dem administrations. I fear that the Muslim Brotherhood and Socialist activists have infiltrated and permeated our entire State Department and Intelligence Services.

Look at who the Democrat political appointees hired and put into places of responsibility and positions that filter and mold information before it gets to the President, or is released to the public.

After all weren't we told previously that intelligence was being molded and censored to fit Obama’s agendas. Those agendas were specifically aimed at weakening and destroying our Republic.

An impromptu historical overview of the issues you’re raising: Russian intelligence infiltrated the OSS during World War II. Military intelligence provided a list of suspected Communist agents to the FBI and Joseph McCarthy after the war. This became an embarrassment to the CIA, particularly because Allen Dulles had been sympathetic to Alger Hiss before he realized Hiss was guilty. So the CIA deployed their media assets (Operation Mockingbird, centered around CBS and the Washington Post) to discredit McCarthy, whose investigation of Communist infiltration of the Army and of the CIA’s operations in postwar Europe was threatening to embarrass both the Army and CIA. The FBI didn’t trust the CIA and limited its information sharing, which created friction between the agencies. This was compounded when Soviet moles and alleged double-agents in MI6 (Cambridge Five esp. Kim Philby) and CIA (Otepka investigation, which included an investigation of Lee Harvey Oswald) were exposed and a molehunt began. CIA’s counterinteligence capability to pursue this molehunt was hampered by the fallout from Watergate and the Church Committee. The FBI kept the leftists out until the Bush administration, when government gender/racial quotas mandated hiring unqualified agents on the basis of gender and race. This grew worse from Clinton on, increasingly enabling Muslims to infiltrate the Bureau. Other intelligence agencies have also been politicized and infiltrated, notably the NSA and DHS. What Trump is doing is very necessary, whether the entrenched intelligence bureacracy likes it or not.

You’re kidding right?

Only one person is getting hit right now and it’s not any CIA person.

If you can’t see a hit piece as part of a well orchestrated plan towards impeachment with republicans bought and paid for, open your eyes wider

Already republicans at work and others are talking about how Pence would be as president.

The propaganda attack is working.

Trump has a short window to start punching back.

Trump just dropped a nuclear bomb on em. In that world, that an outsider is going to crawl up their A$$ with a microscope? They are gonna freak out.

And he founded the group that owns DynCorp, Remington, operates the State Dept air fleet. He knows his way around.

WaPo accidentally outed the leakers.

Shall we review.

1- FBI clears Flynn of lying to the FBI and no charges will be filed.

2- NBC reports NO COLLUSION found between Trump and Russia.

3- Chaffetz asked for the DOJ now under Sessions to put the IG on the leaks.

4- Several people have stated that these people are easy to find......

and now WaPo article has to have these people running scared!

Here it is!

quote:
Nine current and former officials, who were in senior positions at multiple agencies at the time of the calls

That’s the Obama admin people.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/national-security-adviser-flynn-discussed-sanctions-with-russian-ambassador-despite-denials-officials-say/2017/02/09/f85b29d6-ee11-11e6-b4ff-ac2cf509efe5_story.html?utm_term=.ff310b077858

That’s nine leakers.

Then there’s whoever ordered the illegal tap.

Major housecleaning ahead for Trump to do.

It sure would cramp a leaker's style, wouldn't it?
