I am surprised. If the Asplundh family is involved personally, I would be shocked. They are quite conservative. Sounds like a rogue VP and some managers doing their own thing. My father in law was a VP in Iowa for many years. He has since passed on. He would be rolling over in his grave. Of course, that’s been years ago.....so who knows anymore. Bout time. They do a lot of contracts for the state in PA, and it is ALWAYS all Hispanic crews who look very “native” and speak no English. They seem nice enough, and hard working, but I have always wondered where they come from, and if they are legal or on some sort of special visa program.
Story says the charges were just filed, based on a previously completed audit, and even after the audit, the company rehired illegals known to be using fraudulent docs.

They’re not undocumented, clearly. They have all sorts of fraudulent documents, this is obvious. This has real costs for the people whose info is being used for fraudulent purposes, a cost generally not recognized by those shilling for illegals.

Asplundh employs relatively highly skilled workers. They would not do this sort of thing systematically. If you want to find criminal migrant workers, look at the low skilled landscape companies. “Brightview” landscaping is probably employing half the criminal Mexicans in this country.
