Aldi can be a good store when it isn’t trashed by its feral customers.

Must be your area.

I am in a Chicago suburb, and the “feral” avoid Aldi at all costs. It’s too cheap for them, below their high standards.

Here, the welfare queens all shop at Jewel or Dominicks. I kid you not. Aldi is the store of choice in my town of the working class, you know the folks who can’t load the cart with steaks and pay with the EBT card.

Sometimes we have to go to Jewel Foods because Aldi may not have certain items for recipes, and my wife and I lay a bet as to how long the check-out will take because there is always a good chance the person in front of us will splay out some EBT cards like a poker hand. It’s ridiculous.

And I swear 2/5 times, the person will not speak English, and pretend to not know that booze or toys or smokes cannot be used with their card, so a manager will have to get involved OR they won’t have enough money on their poker hand of cards to pay the bill.

I never have that problem at Aldi. Nice and cheap, and it’s cash or credit only. No coupons either.

Interestingly, their new locations are not in feral convenient areas.
