I would hope that President Trump will go there and inspect the dam himself

Saying, "You're doing a great job, Brownie."

He’s the president of the whole country, not just the red states.

From a state that is trying to vote to secede soon?

How would they take care of this if they had seceded already?

It would have been good practice for the real thing.

I personally think Brown is telling illegals and activists one thing and telling Trump another.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he secretly aided Trump in order to get more funds.

Remember, this guy has no real convictions.

Steel plating could be temporarily fastened over the giant pothole in the spillway. It would at least mitigate erosion.

Please provide us with an example of “coming apart” on Trump’s tweets and why you view them as “coming apart”.

He’s the President. He should be above the sort of petty politics Democrats typically play on stuff like this.

Any money given to repair the dam should come with federal oversight. Otherwise the money will end up in the train bank account and band aids will be placed on the dam.

Hey, where has Erin Brockovitch been in all this? Has she been crusading about the environmental impact of neglected dams in California?

The reason I ax is because she must have plenty of time on her hands these days; she was just in Pawnee County, Oklahoma trying to get some attention for herself and one would assume some money too on the fracking issue. (Funny, I doubt if she looks like Julia Roberts c. 1996)

I think she kinda got ignored or something and just went home and is now back in California talking about Oklahoma people.

So she ought to have time to be doing something about this, maybe she and those like her could lend a hand to the honest people who've been run out of their homes.

"Just axin'."

Trump could offer the money as a federal loan. If California accepts and then misses a payment...foreclose on California.

In the minds of some, speaking the truth (which is what those tweets emininently are) is “coming apart”.

Correction: Payne County OK, where the town of Pawnee is the county seat.

Let us not be democrats -
California has a problem, there are liberals and conservatives in the state- but they are Americans. How about we stop the negativity.

I am willing to admit that I have been negative in my comments of some threads.

I have known for many years of reading comments that FR attracts the most knowledgable people, time to get moving for finding solutions.

This is not a red state blue state issue, this is an issue that is impacting Americans

You must be right. I went to Trump’s twitter feed expecting something unsettling. All I found was a succinct set of highly pertinent, well phrased comments, many re the leaks from the intelligence community. All were excellent.

Imagine if President Trump did nothing and people died. He has to at least take their phone calls.

Quite a change from our previous president..

People did die in Nashville in 2010. Obama didn’t care and neither did the National News Media.

IIRC, Obama ignored Texas when they requested emergency aid for wildfires in 2011. He ignored Nashville when they were in need of emergency aid for destructive flooding that killed many in 2010. But Republicans are responsible. So, we will bail out California, even though they ignored engineers when they were told the dam needed repairs. Obama couldn’t have cared less when areas perceived as Conservative needed help. We are better than that
>

IMO, you got it backwards.

Though for political sake only, Zero did correct. (R) aren’t ‘responsible’, they used TAXPAYER funds; there is NOTHING to stop those whom wish to DONATE.

So, no, sorry, (R) aren’t ‘better than that’. They are just as big-govt, unconstitutional as the rest.

I really am interested to see which tweets you thought indicated he was “coming apart” on.

Any examples?

Both sides don't have a choice: if the emergency spillway at Oroville Dam collapses, we're taking a flooding disaster that could cost trillions of dollars.

Trump is president of all the people, not just the ones that like him...

He’s pouring coal on their moronic heads...

They don’t even know it...

Haven't heard back from you yet, michael collins, so for discussion whether you participate or not, here is what constitutes (to you) "coming apart" in tweets by Trump:

The real scandal here is that classified information is illegally given out by "intelligence" like candy. Very un-American!
(True and very serious)

Crimea was TAKEN by Russia during the Obama Administration. Was Obama too soft on Russia?
(Nothing says "coming apart" like pointing out an obvious double standard)

Thank you to Eli Lake of The Bloomberg View - "The NSA & FBI...should not interfere in our politics...and is" Very serious situation for USA
(Well. Stating the obvious by Trump)

Information is being illegally given to the failing @nytimes & @washingtonpost by the intelligence community (NSA and FBI?).Just like Russia
(Just like Russia IS wrong. Just like the Soviet Union and Pravda)

This Russian connection non-sense is merely an attempt to cover-up the many mistakes made in Hillary Clinton's losing campaign.
(Is this coming apart?)

The fake news media is going crazy with their conspiracy theories and blind hatred. @MSNBC & @CNN are unwatchable. @foxandfriends is great!
(This is all completely true, when you look at the number of stories being put out nearly hourly in a frantic effort to find spaghetti that sticks to the wall. I don't watch "Fox and Friends" or any network media, so he could be right there as well.)

Obamacare continues to fail. Humana to pull out in 2018. Will repeal, replace & save healthcare for ALL Americans.
(Trump might be too late to save healthcare, which is what the Democrats wanted all along)
