House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) is asking the White House to provide his panel with details about how sensitive information was handled during a weekend meeting at President Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort.
In a letter to White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, Chaffetz requested detailed explanations of the Trump administration's security protocols at the Florida estate, including what documents were present at Saturday's powwow and how the administration vetted club guests.
The request came after it was revealed that Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a meeting in plain sight on Saturday to discuss North Korea's most recent missile test.
Some guests at the club that night posted photos on social media showing the two leaders being briefed while aides stood in the background, using cellphones to shine light on documents.
The White House has said no classified documents were reviewed in public, but questions continue to swirl.
"White House press secretary Sean Spicer said no classified information was present in the Mar-a-Lago dining room, as the President was briefed in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) both before and after the dinner," Chaffetz wrote in the letter.

Sean Spicer already explained that. There is a SKIFF there and it was used for sensitive conversations.

I trust the guests at Mar-A-Lago more than the leakers in our government and the MSM. Who reported details of the meeting? It sure wasn’t the guests at Mar-A-Lago.
Chaffetz is playing for the other team. How about “No” for an answer?
I wish Trump would look Chaffetz square in the eyes and say, “You don’t have ‘need to know’”
Chaffetz made a big show of making the TV rounds when that Trump tape came out. He unendorsed Trump and wanted everyone to know about it. Then, right before the election he decided that he would vote for Trump again.
This is going to be a long 8 years.

Trump should tell the oversight chair to go to hell.
Maybe it is time for Trump to start looking over the shoulders of the Congress people and make them give account for their actions. He can start by asking about 40 democrat Representatives about placing three Muslims in charge of their computers.
This is Alinsky style crap, and Trump needs to draw a line. “I’m going to cooperate like Lois Lerner, Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, and all the others you had no interest in investigating during the Obama years. At the end of two years, the people, not you, can decide about our stewardship of this nation.”
I saw Fife Symington, a great governor and a good friend, removed here in Arizona by Republicans for nothing but dubious nonsense. Trump is in the same boat with enemies everywhere. He needs to never take that for granted.
