Love the high-heeled pumps! Seriously, Im surprised that photo was released without first retouching the lifts.
It was the '70s, and "Elton John" platform shoes were in.

Appears so has Arya Stark.
Who knew Game of Thrones was based on North Korea?

A couple of possibilities:
(1) It may have been in the works for quite a while and they just happened to pull it off yesterday.
(2) Kim Jong-un decided to tie all loose ends. While Chinese have his back for now, he has enemies both inside and outside the country, and confrontation with U.S. is escalating. If his half-brother somehow changes side at this critical moment and heads some form of government in exile, that would be a disaster.

The Norks are brutal.
They did awful things on the battlefield during the Korean War.
After the war they kept on doing crazy things like hacking an American solider to death guarding at the ‘truce village’ at Panmunjom.
In 1987 two NK agents planted a bomb on a South Korean airliner destroying it and killing over 100 people as the plane approached Bangkok.
When they were about to be caught in the UAE, the agents took cyanide.
Those and plenty of other incidents from the NK regime.

I did some checking and found out that the photo was provided by Kim Jong-il's sister-in-law, who defected to France in late 1990's. It was a private photo which was not meant to be published.
In the photo, the woman on the left in the back is the sister-in-law, the girl in the middle is her daughter, and the man on the right is her son, Lee Han-young. Her daughter reportedly defected with her. Her son defected in 1982 way before the two women did to France.
The son lived in S. Korea under the protection of S. Korean security agency, but was also assassinated by a N. Korean agent in 1997.
Of those in this photo, two were assassinated, and two defected. Not a picture of happy family.

They did awful things on the battlefield during the Korean War.They did much MUCH worse in their POW camps! Remember studying the Bataan Death March in school that was such a horrific event during WWII? Well those kinds of Death Marches were common in the Korean conflict when they moved prisoners between camps. Also, they dismantled the chain of command so that there was no rank structure and thus no senior officer. Doing this ensured it was every man for himself and isolated everyone from everyone else.

Look up the "Paul Bunyan Incident" to shop another example of the NorKsk along the 'cease-fire' line.

I remember that! I was in Army ROTC Basic Camp because I missed the first two years of ROTC to get into the program. While I was at Fort Knox that summer this happened. And the following year something else happened along the DMZ, like a U.S. chopper being downed in the DMZ... something...
