Reebok releases McConnell inspired T-shirt

The words U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell used to end a floor speech from U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts, have become a rallying cry among feminists and Democrats, and now Reebok is putting the phrase on a shirt.

Last Tuesday, McConnell, R-Kentucky, defended the use of rule 19, a regulation that bars Senators from speaking negatively about one another during debate over U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions, President Trump’s Attorney General.

“She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted,” McConnell said on the Senate floor ending Warren’s speech.

Reebok has now turned part of McConnell’s rebuke, “Nevertheless she persisted,” into a T-shirt.

In a news release Reebok Senior Director of Brand Management Inga Stenta said that the shirts are their way of showing support for all women.

“The same sentiment has been used to obstruct women everywhere from the workforce, to the gym, to the starting line of marathons,” Stenta wrote. “And nevertheless, women persist.”

So being nasty, rude, and defamatory toward a colleague is now laudable and something every woman aspires to, according to Reebok.

I can hardly *wait* to see what 4chan or reddit or South Park do with that T-shirt.

(Monica Lewinsky stained t-shirts, anyone?)

“Reebok has now turned part of McConnell’s rebuke, “Nevertheless she persisted,” into a T-shirt. “

How ‘bout one that says: “The senator shall take her seat.”

I’m amazed that i have not owned a single Reebook pair in my life. It would be better if they printed shirts which had “Resist We Much” or “I’ve been to 57, no 58 states” on them.

Isn’t “persisted” just a polite way of saying, “nagged”?

So let me get this straight “in support of women” means the whole Crazy Liz clan. So how does this work in favor of the shareholders? Should the person making this decision or the board get their @$$es summarily fired? Make it neutral at this point or you piss off 1/2 of America, and the shorters are gonna have a field day with your stock ( not investment advice ). Everyone one of these companies that have gone social justice have had their stock prices tanked, You’d think they’d learn?....

"Reebok releases McConnell inspired T-shirt"

I don't think a turtleneck t-shirt will be much of a seller.

[[Reebok quality has really gone down the crapper.]]

Right about the time they dropped the Union Jack.
Adidas bought them out and the quality of the sneakers did drop but their classic styles designed by the original owners were still very comfortable.

I have to look for a new brand of sneakers.
Oh God I hope Harley Davidson never pulls this stunt , don’t want to have to look for another company to buy boots from.

Warren isn’t even popular in deep-blue Massachusetts. By all means, make her the face of the Democratic Party for 2017-2018.

If there is anything more annoying than the idea that everyone is a victim, it’s that everyone is some kind of hero. My great-grandmother bore twelve children, lost two of them in childhood, raised my mother when my grandmother died in childbirth, spent her life on a hardscrabble farm in southern Illinois, and had a twenty-year battle with cancer. She persisted, and she didn’t have a damned t-shirt to advertise it. It would never have occurred to her to expect one.
