9th Circuit Has 80 Percent Reversal Rate At Supreme Court

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals — which ruled Thursday against reinstating President Trump’s travel ban affecting seven terror-prone countries — has an unusually high reversal rate before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Eight of out of 10 cases from the 9th Circuit reviewed by the Supreme Court are overruled, according to a 2010 analysis published by the American Bar Association. The 9th Circuit, which is known for its liberal tendencies, has the second-highest reversal rate of the 13 appellate courts below the Supreme Court.

Republicans cited Thursday’s ruling as just the latest example of judicial overreach in favor of liberals.

“No one familiar with the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals should be surprised at today’s ruling,” South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy said in a statement. “The 9th Circuit has a well-earned reputation for being presumptively reversible. . ."

Spread the truth wide and far. Congress is hiding behind a rogue judicial system by using it quite effectively as a stalking horse to block Trump's key reforms.

Congress has 100% complete ownership & control of this constitutional process, yet they seek to confuse the issue by criticizing the court while giving them a (not so) secret wink & nod.

Removing justices from the bench via impeachment, dissolution and/or reorganization of inferior courts below SC, ring fencing and defining allowable areas for interpretation, ad infinitum, the list goes on as far as possible courses of action.

Lack of results - or even lack of comments - will reveal the truth for even the most ardently self induced blind as to who is really behind the abdication of legislative duties to the judiciary.

At 80% reversal rate, the 9th Circuit is the second highest?

Which circuit has a worse record?

The same leftists who rail at the US for turning back Jews in the past, now claim that protecting a group of persecuted religious groups is “establishment” of state religion.

“When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, ‘it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.”

Here’s hoping we can get back through the looking glass someday.

Why cant these justices be impeached?

Since it has been proved they do not follow the law 80% of the time, but make up their own law in 4 out of 5 cases, then it is appropriate for the legislature to impeach them and replace them with justices who will follow the law.

Serious question.

They most definitely SHOULD be impeached. The Court completely defunded and erased. Bulldoze it and scrape up the foundation, and salt the earth.

ELIMINATE THE 9th!

Split them up, and make their jurisdiction comprise only of the 100 block of main street, and nothing else.

They knew it was wrong to rule against reinstating the travel ban affecting seven terror-prone countries, it was just a delay tactic.

Let us see, in school that meant 8 wrong answers out of 10 questions on the Quiz. That meant a FAILED Quiz.

So glad they have shown themselves as they are. Trump will handle them (9th circuit) in due time. Right now he would do well to stay focused on priorities of the moment.

Judges like 9th do what they want and dare lawyers to “take me up”. What do they have to lose.

they’ll have to hold off bringing anything to the supreme court until the new judge is sworn in.
