The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals which ruled Thursday against reinstating President Trumps travel ban affecting seven terror-prone countries has an unusually high reversal rate before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Eight of out of 10 cases from the 9th Circuit reviewed by the Supreme Court are overruled, according to a 2010 analysis published by the American Bar Association. The 9th Circuit, which is known for its liberal tendencies, has the second-highest reversal rate of the 13 appellate courts below the Supreme Court.
Republicans cited Thursdays ruling as just the latest example of judicial overreach in favor of liberals.
No one familiar with the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals should be surprised at todays ruling, South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy said in a statement. The 9th Circuit has a well-earned reputation for being presumptively reversible. . ."

What would happen if any of us were wrong at our jobs 80 percent of the time?
Not only using statements that are irrelevant to the law, they also accused Trump of establishing a religion - they are even worse than Roberts when he contorted the law for Obama Care...
I don’t know what Trump’s strategy will be, but I think he will make a good choice. I will say this:
IF Trump takes this to the Supreme Court and
IF the Supreme Court decides against the 9th Circuit ...
I think Trump should move to configure the 9th and consciously and deliberately turn it into a very Conservative weapon for years to come.
I think I saw where their last 5 decisions were overturned by the supremes
What an incredible waste of resources having to appeal their decisions all the time. Trampled and delayed justice as well. Time for congress to reconfigure this jurisdiction.
This recent 9C order is a splendid example of why the ninth is America’s Failed Court
So do something about it, Trey. The Courts are creatures of Congress.

With 27 judges there is no accountability. They should split it into 2 or 3 courts.
“What would happen if any of us were wrong at our jobs 80 percent of the time?”
80% reversal rate. I can’t imagine what the 9th has cost taxpayers. Playing the devils advocate is not interpreting law. The costs must be astronomical.
Irrelevant.
The court had no jurisdiction to overrule or encumber the President's established legal, constitutional authority in this matter.
The President was well within his rights to ignore the Seattle judge's restraining order, and is even now, well within his rights as the chief officer of the executive branch, to ignore the illegal ruling of the 9th Circuit court.
Good link. Thanks.

That’s fine. All well and good. But it’ll takes months before this crap decision is overturned. Why should we wait that long?
“See you in Court”? Hell No. Trump needs to go all Andy Jackson on these renegade unconstitutional black robed LBQT loving idiots.
Grrr.
Not known as “The Ninth Circus” for nothing. Just a bunch of liberal clowns.
That statistic ALONE is far more grounds for impeachment than anything else I can think of.
Split the Ninth
No more life time appointments.
The Ninth Circuit Court does not need to be split so much as it need to be ABOLISHED!!!
