WASHINGTON (Reuters) - In his first call as president with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump denounced a treaty that caps U.S. and Russian deployment of nuclear warheads as a bad deal for the United States, according to two U.S. officials and one former U.S. official with knowledge of the call.
When Putin raised the possibility of extending the 2010 treaty, known as New START, Trump paused to ask his aides in an aside what the treaty was, these sources said.
Trump then told Putin the treaty was one of several bad deals negotiated by the Obama administration, saying that New START favored Russia. ...

Well, at least under the weak/traitorous likes of Obama they are.
Well, this being the internet and all, I figured that since you are acting like a woman you actually might be one. Are you seeing anybody right now?
Don’t you dare mention Cruz’ voting record! Aren’t you aware that it took him 1.1 days to kiss Trump’s ring?
Ted was also dead on target when he looked us in the eye and told us he was going to win the Bible belt states.
He was dead on target when his and his staff said Carson had dropped out.
In 1999 he was a policy advisor to Bush and helped him develop weasel word phrases for using children to block deportations of illegal immigrants.
Ted ran around to a number of events making presentations warning folks not to vote a certain way on an issue. Then he voted that way on the issue.
I am not convinced he is a natural born American citizen. There are still issues there for me, and I am not alone on it.
He may be brilliant, but when it comes to relationships and social common sense, he has none.
I don’t trust a guy that tells me he’s against a bill, and then votes for legislation that is a must so the bill he is against can become law.
While Ted can certainly prattle off the great catch phrase, when it comes to practical application, I remain unconvinced.
He told us he proposed the massive increase of H1-B visas as a poison pill. Two years later, he was still hawking that increase when he was running for the office of the president. It was then that he quietly quit pushing for it.
The guy strike me as a weasel. When you folks praise him, it’s like fingernails on a chalkboard.
If I ran around here last year and refused to support Trump, never said anything about him except for 1.1 days all year, and refused to trash or try to block Clinton from getting elected, what would you think of me?
I’m only asking you to think the same thing about Ted.
I’m seeing your foolish posts on an internet forum.
Everyone on the right side knows the nuke deal with Russia is a bad one. So why would it be so difficult to believe that Trump would too, particularly since he's been heeding the sound advice he's been getting from knowledgeable top administration officials.
You know, you keep saying you're no big fan of KGB Putin, yet you have a fit every time Putin comes under fire. It seems you think more highly of Putin than Cruz. If so, that's pretty warped thinking.
That’s what is commonly called avoidance.

“I am over it. The Ukraine is a sovereign nation, and Crimea was part of its territory.
You get over it.
I love how you twist reality into some dream state so you can advocate for Putins treachery as if it was the only good thing to do.”—DoughtyOne (to someone on another thread)
Well said. It just seemed as though your hatred and disgust of Sen Cruz on this thread exceeded all else, including his condemnation of Putin.
I’ve not trashed him for dumping on Putin.
As I’ve said, Ted seems to get things, but translating that to reality isn’t always a sure fire bet.
I have been intent on Trump and Putin meeting without first bad-mouthing each other.
Get together without having alienated each other first.
What my personal thoughts are regarding Putin don’t matter with regard to this. It shouldn’t bias their talks.
People have a way of working things out when they meet. A lot of the negative things melt away, and although they know they have differences, they can get along. Sometimes a camaraderie develops and some progress can be made. I want that dynamic to be given a chance.
Reagan was able to develop it with Gorbachev to good end. Trump may get some mileage out of meetings with Putin.
Do I think Putin is a global threat? Yes I do. I think he’s a loose canon. He’s proven he’s capable of unthinkable things.
Hopefully he and Trump can hit it off, and he’ll mellow a bit. If he thinks he’s going to walk on Trump, he’s sorely mistaken.
Take care.
“Why are 2 U.S. officials and 1 former U.S. official leaking intimate details of the conversation to the press?”
************************************************************
Who says they did” Recall just recently the press was caught red handed totally mischaracterizing the phone calls between The Trump and the Heads of State of Mexico and Australia?
The only thing I am willing too believe at this point is there was a conversation between the president and Putin.
OUR side: Hillary, Bill clinton, Samantha Power, Nuland; Albright; ANYONE who participated in a Soros “Color Revolution”!!!!
