And, at least in this state, lethal force is legal so long as you are in fear of death or serious bodily harm, which the state has to prove otherwise. I think the DA would have a hard time proving otherwise with both idiots in the dirt (e.g. no testimony from them) and the evidence is they walked in masked, wearing body armor, and heavily armed.
I know if I were on the jury the citizen would walk.
And VA is an open carry state with few restrictions. - You don a ski mask and open weapons......whole 'nuther story.
