UBER drivers are independent contractors. Isn’t this some sort of an unfair compensation for all the Uber drivers who are not Muslim and traveling?

Seems like grounds for a class action lawsuit.

Uber drivers are worse than wage slaves. Bad employers who say they’re not employers. Typical liberal Orwellianism.

Three questions come to mind—
1. Didn’t these drivers who go on vacation to a terrorist country already have round trip tickets?

2. Does Uber pay so well that so many drivers are there at any given time?

3. Why would a refugee even want to vacation there?

Uber walks the line between contractors and employees. All they need is for the IRS to declare their contractors are employees and the company will implode. Right now they have no need to comply with literally thousands of local, state and federal employee regulations. They run the risk with this action that they might suddenly have “employees.”

I just incorporated and the state sent me a letter that I am required to purchase an $85 poster and display one at every facility. The poster tells me my rights as an employee even though I have no employees. The poster must be prominently displayed. That would be in every vehicle. (Yes, of course it’s another hidden tax.)

I don’t like Uber or their politics, but I don’t see how such a purchase for certain contractors would violate any laws.
