What does Donald Trump want for America? His supporters dont know. His party doesnt know. Even he doesnt know.
If there is a political vision underlying Trumpism, however, the person to ask is not Trump. Its his éminence grise, Stephen K. Bannon, the chief strategist of the Trump administration.

Reading between the lines a very unflattering portrait of Bannon emerges. Indeed, he is presented as a puppet master intent on a world conflagration between Islam and Christianity.
It's also necessary to follow up on the citations they include for the sinister misrepresentations or even falsehoods they ascribe to Bannon. For example, the statistics to disprove Bannon's assertion that Muslims have been given preferential treatment, buried two links deep and provided by liberal think tanks, is misleading.
While it is true that the proportional of all refugees admitted to the US in recent years is roughly equal between Christians and Muslims, it is also true that refugees from mostly Muslim nations is 99 to 1 Muslim over Christian. This is critical because in those Muslim nations it's the Christians who are being persecuted and murdered precisely because they are Christians.
In this case, Pew, the authors of the study, set up a false equivalency between a population targeted for oppression and the general population of a country which is nominally Christian and whose refugees are not fleeing anti-Christian and state sponsored aggression.
This is the moral relativism at the heart of liberal logic aimed to discredit empirical evidence that Christians in the Middle East are being attacked because of their religion. And it's a lie.
Should I read past the first statement? I DO understand what he wants.
that would’ve had to be Valerie Jarrett——who’s family had long term ties to the M.Brotherhood and was of Iranian decent I beleive.....
When you consider they look at these values of Western Civilization as impediments to the elites rule over the rest of us, it is quite easy to understand where they are coming from.
It also explains why they have common cause with Muslims. They both hate Western values which prevent the elites from ruling for the leftists, and Islam from ruling for the Muslims. Although I'm not sure the leftists have thought that relationship through to it's conclusion.
Each considers the other a means to an end, the end of Western Civilization.
I stopped reading after this sentence.
I know what Trump wants. He stated it time and again during the campaign. It was plain as the nose on the writer's face.
But it seems that the writer doesn't understand American English and a person who says what he means and means what he says.
Steve Bannon’s pic on time is my wallpaper... I would work for the guy and as a Marine, I would lay down my life for him.

I didn’t say that I don’t understand why they do it. I just said it was interesting. Like you, I know their motivation and am saddened that they aren’t thinking this through. When western civilization is gone, the Progs will have no productive base to stand on and no shield of law to hide behind as the victorious Muslims cut their heads off for various blasphemies.
They tell Christians that we are not rational for our beliefs, but their irrational belief that they can control Islam Triumphant is insane.
Agreed. We have had plenty of examples of that insanity since the election and inauguration of the current leader of Western Civilization.
Trump has his OWN brain.
“While I realize the article was meant to demonize him, it was a delightful read first thing in the morning as I sipped my coffee.”
AND “Trump has his OWN brain.”
Two excellent comments from Freepers. I enjoyed this article, and was quite aware and unfazed by the subtext that Bannon is a dangerous puppet master. If true, this article just shows how much Bannon understands about our culture. I agree with his premises. I bet Trump does, too. So do the informed and knowledgeable voters and campaign workers who spearheaded Trumps victory.
As others have pointed out, Trump didn’t start a movement. The movement was started and moving without him (see, e.g.: Tea Party). The movement simply chose Trump as its leader. May we have chosen wisely. May we succeed in this last opportunity to save the West and the greatest national experiment in Liberty the world has seen.

Stopped reading right there. Why patronize such ingnorant snobbery?
Because the rest of the article is reasonably objective and offers insight into Steve Bannon?
Which I totally support!! He has got it completely right!!
And I don’t know him, but my husband has met with him and spoken with him.
He’s not the monster the left makes him out to be, but he seriously has some people unhinged! Louise Mensch of Heat Street among them.
