What Steve Bannon really wants
Quartz ^ | February 3, 2017

Posted on 02/04/2017 4:27:50 AM PST by NY.SS-Bar9

What does Donald Trump want for America? His supporters don’t know. His party doesn’t know. Even he doesn’t know.

If there is a political vision underlying Trumpism, however, the person to ask is not Trump. It’s his éminence grise, Stephen K. Bannon, the chief strategist of the Trump administration.

Long, and mostly objective (with the exception of the above shot at Trump) article at source.

>>Bannon’s political philosophy boils down to three things that a Western country, and America in particular, needs to be successful: Capitalism, nationalism, and “Judeo-Christian values.” These are all deeply related, and essential.

I agree with that. It is interesting how the Left fears these three things to the point of hysteria.

This article is written by media elitists who were given no access to Bannon for the article.

They cannot admit that Bannon is actually spot on with his insights into what is going on with Americans and it explains to me why all the pollsters missed understanding that Trump would win this election.

It sniffs that “academics” don’t believe Bannon’s “theory” about a collapsing social order can be “supported.” But those of us living this — outside the ivory tower — find ourselves nodding our heads in agreement....

It sniffs..

Love that phrase .. so succinct, yet so perfectly, mockingly evocative   :-)

Yeah, just like Dick Cheney was really running the Bush admin. Funny how they never suggested that Biden was the power behind Odumbo.

Sounds pretty good from here, at least compared to anything we’ve had in the last forty or fifty years.

It’s even simpler. Dennis Prager gets this and has spoken about it on radio and Pragertopia. The division between the Left and Americans is this:

Leftists believe our rights, freedoms, liberties and destiny come from government.

Americans believe our rights, freedoms, liberties and destiny come from God.

The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution clearly lay out and detail this American belief. This is why Bannon is correct in telling the Left they do not understand this country. They hate this country. And why Prager and David Horowitz so correctly point out the grave threat the Left poses to America.

While I realize the article was meant to demonize him, it was a delightful read first thing in the morning as I sipped my coffee.

We can only hope it is accurate as I found little in it that I disagreed with.

I am a simple, uneducated man. Putty in the hands of a good demigod. But something in my DNA steers me toward a Bannon and Trump and away from a Clinton and Podesta.

I’m thinking that the Left is trying to paint Bannon in the same light we painted Valerie Jarrett.

Funny, we seem to understand what Trump wants.

Pity the author does not.

We salute the flag.
We protect the unborn.
We honor our veterans.
We cherish our freedoms.
We are the American People.
We are Trump’s Army.

Having know Steve for years, I think that in addition to those three things he wants a peaceful political revolution that vastly reduces the scope and power of Wasington and devolves it to the people.

The left hasn’t liked values since the church told the baby boomers that free sex was a bad idea. They find the “values” to be boring and prohibitive.

They would rather just do their own thing.

Sadly, that’s not a “left” thing. That’s a “human” thing. People on our side ignore some Christian values too. Everyone has their favorite sin, ya know.
