Bodega owners across New York City plan to shut down their businesses on Thursday to protest President Trump's executive order on immigration.

"This shutdown of grocery stores and bodegas will be a public show of the vital role these grocers and their families play in New York’s economic and social fabric," the organizers of the event wrote on their Facebook page.

According to BuzzFeed News, the bodega business community in New York City is mainly dominated by Yemeni Americans, many of whom are upset by the president's ban on immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries. Yemen is one of the countries affected by the ban.

Ut, Oh, closing down bodegas is gonna put a crimp in terror plans....read on.

BREITBART REPORTED: “Among the terror jihadists that travel back and forth through our porous southern border w/ Mexico is a Kuwaiti named Shaykh Mahmood Omar Khabir, an ISIS operative who lives in the Mexican state of Chihuahua not far from El Paso, Texas,” authorities reported.

According to US intelligence, Khabir now provides training to thousands of jihadis – mostly from Syria and Yemen – at a base in near Ciudad Juarez, which is located just across the border from El Paso, Texas.

US authorities found out during an investigation of food stamp fraud in a NJ bodega, looking into the store's wire-transfers (remittances).

They all seemed to trace back to one or two accounts in Mexico City.

Cooperating with Mexican Authorities, it soon became apparent that the bodega was aiding and abetting terror. Laundered money was wire-transferred from the bodega to terror cells in Mexico.

I would like it even better if they 'held their breath' until they passed out.

I know I’m asking the impossible but maybe they’ll stop taking food stamps in protest as well after they open back up. It would bankrupt them.

I thought NYC bodegas were run by Cubans, P.R.’s or DomRep immigrants. Bodegas are part of Hispanic Caribbean culture IIRC.
