I’m not trashing Freeman by any stretch of the imagination, but these weren’t exactly over the top comments.
They were just normal run of the mill adult thoughts.
Even with this, he is far ahead of the pack.
He deserves respect for making them. I don’t think we go nuts over them, because they are just common decency comments.
They were nice thoughts and I appreciate them.
Good for him.
Knowing he’d get heat, he made them anyway.
Class act on this.

For the first time EVER the black community has someone who actually cares about them. He actually wants to help and will actually do something about it. That has to be a shock to people who have just been trotted out at campaign time and tossed aside as soon as the election is over

He's old enough,and rich enough,that he doesn't have to score any more roles in Hollywood.As a result he probably figures he can afford to be at least semi reasonable today.
