After a day of delays, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has been approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee in a vote of 11-9 to be the next attorney general. Following the party line vote, he will go to the Senate floor for confirmation.

I expect that the full Senate vote will be also be on a party line basis.
Oh wow... I hope they pass this appointment. Time to move down the road..... I hope we work together as a nation. A little give and take..but time for the Demos to give up a little.
Finally!
Good news. Get it done!
About damn time.
Excellent! I think the President’s firing of that liberal temporary deputy AG may have gotten the demo’ attention.
Interesting that the entire democrat party thought he was unqualified and the entire republican part thought he was qualified.

oops—should have read “dems’ “
FINALLY!!!!
Yup, Trump should ask the it's now their turn to "reach across the aisle". :-)
RESISTANCE IS FUTILE (Trumps needs to tweet that when all is said and done)
We are 12 days down the road from the Inauguration, and there are less approved Trump appointees than there were in two days after Obama was sworn in.
McConnell needs to whiz or get of the pot.
We need a leader, not a bowl of Jello.
Secretary of Education is the weakest link. The teachers unions brought it upon themselves by protesting and being obnoxious instead of talking in a rational way to President Trump.
MAGA
Wait for the screams that the committee vote bringing Sessions’ nomination up for a vote was “stolen” because the GOP changed the rules to not require their presence.
Winning
Does Session have a vote?
Come on you know better than that. The Republicans in the Senate did not drag out every arcane rule to delay and obstruct Hussein’s nominees.
It was ENTIRELY different than what is happening today.
The Democrats were there for the Sessions vote, 11-9.
It was the Price and Mnuchin nominations that were moved ahead without Democrats.
Today, the 12th day since the Inauguration, they voted to pass a guy through committee with the Democrats absent.
It’s the first nuclear option we’ve used to my knowledge.
You don’t see that as dragging our feet?
Screw the Democrat games. Get Trump’s nominees to work.
NOW!
We’ll still be doing this mid-February if we don’t wise up.
