WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Roughly 900 U.S. State Department officials signed an internal dissent memo critical of President Donald Trump's travel ban for refugees and immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries, a source familiar with the document said on Tuesday.

A senior State Department official confirmed that the memorandum in the department's "dissent channel" had been submitted to management.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer said on Monday he was aware of the memo but warned career diplomats that they should either "get with the program or they can go."

900? Please let them have an ounce of honor and resign in protest.

If not, fire ‘em!

While it is true that it seems Civil Service employees have to be fired three times before it sticks, Civil Service employees can be, and are, fired. There are no guaranteed lifetime tenure jobs except for the Supreme Court.

Trump should ask Congress to make government positions “bright-to-work”, giving government officials unfettered right to fire any and all government employees.

Probably all Obama appointees. Federal agencies must be loaded with them. Fire them all and replace them with Americans,
On shipboard this is called mutiny.

Tell em all “Your Fired!” when Obama did the same thing—how many protested then? Any who did can get a pass-—My guess is ZIP. Granted—maybe Trump could have done it better but he’s new to the job. It was a legal move and he is within his powers as president (as other presidents have done in the past). the Democrap Soros followers have little else to picket and march about. Now they can try to stop his court appointment. Hes doing his job—this Trump—and doing it well. When the first big crisis comes —people will see how lucky we are to have him in the White House.

“We’ll just recognize that as a colossal savings in paper. 900 people just submitted their resignations on a single sheet! They are helping make America great again, and we thank them.”

If you take it that there are about 200 countries in the world that works out to 345 per country. Now obviously some countries warrant more than others. China vs Fiji for example. Even so that’s a whole lot for each nation on this earth.

Just fire 'em.

First the Dreamers signed up on a list, then the Never-Trumpers put themselves on a list, then the GOP “National Security Experts” who disagree with Trump signed a list, and now these disloyal State Department Employees self identify.

It sure is nice when your enemies announce themselves.

Sam Hill /s

A possible origin for the phrase “Sam Hill” is the surveyor Samuel W. Hill (1819–1889). Hill allegedly used such foul language that his name became a euphemism for swear words. In the words of Charles Eschbach, “Back in the 1850s the Keweenaw’s copper mining boom was underway.

There’s no choice but to fire all of them now. They are at odds with the president.

If I signed a letter of dissent and sent it to my CEO at one of the investment banks i worked in, there’d be four security guards at my desk in minutes.
