Charlie Daniels: America Isn’t Just Divided–It’s Fragmented to Pieces

There is a growing attitude of "everything we believe is right and everything you believe is wrong," and even when there is equity on both sides of an issue the animosity has gotten so pervasive that opposing views are rarely even considered by the other side.

The common phrase is that "America is divided," but I beg to differ. America is actually fragmented into pieces racially, socially, politically, philosophically and fiscally, and every group that tries to put on a united face is actually made up of dissidents with their own personal ax to grind, ranging from the moderates to the radicals, from those who actually believe in the cause they are espousing to those just along for the ride, the window breakers and car burners.

It’s called Balkinization.

It’s been happening (on purpose) since the 1960s when that communist bastard Ted Kennedy pushed through the immigration bill that favored unskilled third world parasites by the millions (over skilled labor from Europe).

We are now living the results of that action.

Good comment. It’s very hard to reverse things.

Undoing the deep seated and pervasive damage of liberalism is going to be a monumental challenge. If anyone can do it, it would be Trump. I know he’s going to give it everything he’s got.

we can find something we desperately need: Common ground.

In civil war history, there were many issues. Right or wrong it settled on slavery as the common ground.

[America is actually fragmented into pieces...]

0’s regime TRIED to shred Americans into pieces and THAT was his regime’s biggest failure. The fabric our country is strong, flexible and everlasting.

He and his czars have left in stunning defeat. The media, liberals and all the extentions thereof are panically screaming because all the effort they have put into bringing our country to it’s knees is ending.

The screaming will end in whimpers and, finally, acceptance.

America has always been divided. It is because politicians like to grab power for themselves and they can’t do that by praising the politicians they want to replace. They have to foment discontent, get people believing they are being mistreated and are being denied a better deal.

Yes this nation is fractured to pieces. Thar is why I dont think 0bama is too worried about Trump. 0bama knows he has irreparedly damage the nation and swayed the hearts and minds of a majority of people against nationalism.

Outside of his core base of voters Trump is widely hated and that hate is growing. Mass media has a lot of power to sway public opinion and these Hollywood andd media attacks work. I feel the hate is so widespread and deep that a Democrat will be easily elected in 2020.

I think Trump understands this as well. That is why he is moving so boldly on what he wants to accomplish. He knows all bhas is four years.

[Not sure about the acceptance part.]

You are right, I gave them too much credit that they are even capable of accepting ANYTHING that takes away their relevance in our country.

The battle goes on.

America is more divided now than we were before the Civil War. Only a few factors keep us from collapsing into a civil war.

1. Bread - Welfare. Everybody has enough to eat and some can even do pretty well if they game the system.
2. Circuses - Internet and Cable TV. More so than religion ever was, entertainment is the opiate of the people. As long as the cable is up, folks see news more as entertainment than as information.
3. Incompetence - dumbing down. Thanks to urbanization and public education overall we’re individually more ignorant and less capable than our fathers and grand fathers. Most people don’t understand what they are seeing, and what they are losing.
4. Splintering - there is no single issue that divides us - Yet. Right now, there are many issues on which we disagree, but no single issue which polarizes everyone.

Eventually, something is going to give. If EBT cards stop working, if cable goes out, or if that single appears, then we’re going to blow up.

I believe that the numbers are actually small in terms of extreme polarization. The rioters are being organized & paid. 50 rioters being bused makes a big splash but people are growing tired of the violence & the liberal playbook.

When the poorer people actually begin to see a way out rather than a handout I think the vast majority of them will be ready to take it. Everyone needs to have a stake in the American dream and it needs to be offered but accepting takes work commitment to the American way of life. That’s how we will reforge our bonds to America & each other.

I have nothing in common with the overwhelming number of foreigners I see around me. I didn’t invite them, I never asked for them, and I don’t want them here.

That's exactly it. I hear people saying, "How did we get here? How did our country change so fast?" But when you import millions of foreigners from countries very different from ours, coddle them, get them riled up about their "rights" and tell them that they are oppressed, and discourage them from assimilating, of course the country is going to drastically change! It's the main reason for what's going on.

Thank you, Obama. /s Like it wasn't fragmented before then?

It got INFINITELY worse during those eight years. That man used division and fragmentation as a deliberate political strategy.

Yes I agree and that's why even though its going to be wrenching in some cases, we are going to need to become a Nation with borders and penalties for hiring illegals, and deportations. One of the attractions of a VAT is that it would hit the underground economy and make it less attractive for illegals who are paid in cash. Self deportation is the easiest on everyone & the cheapest for the US.

No more bilingual education. If we get school choice those citizen/green card parents who want their children educated bilingually can pick one of those schools. English is the language of America.

It has been going downhill since the Clinton years. And it's nowhere near bottom yet.

Classic communist revolutionary tactics. Saul Alinsky refined these tactics to specifically target The United States Republic.

WWII seems to have united us in this country. Today if Iran bombed Pearl harbor and killed 4000 sailors and took out half of our Navy we have a Leftest party that would call that event anything but what it truly was.

They would say we deserved it. They would say it didn't happen by ignoring it and changing the subject to gay rights. They would lie about who did it and defend the comrades of those who did it. Yes this country is fragmented. They would attack the Right for declaring it an act of war and wanting to defend this country even if it meant going to war with Iran.

You are correct. This is why liberals are so much for elimination of guns! Take away the guns then next comes liberty.

His speech was about taking America back from the political class and giving it back to the people.

There sadly are too many people that don’t want any part of America, rather only the freebies that She offers. This country needs a military draft for boys AND girls at age 18.
Fix what their parents and the educational system has decayed.
They’ll finally return to society as educated, responsible citizens.

If it happened today? It did, on 9/11, and Divya along with the cretinous Left have convinced the majority that it had nothing to do with islam. I HATE Islam, and whenever I see one of those cultists in public I stare daggers into them and do whatever I can to make them feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
