The issue isn’t whether Saudi Arabia is an ally of the United States.
The issue is that by far the greatest terrorist damage done by those coming to the United States has come from Saudi Arabia. Why not attempt to close this gaping hole in security?
Answering that Saudi Arabia is a friend and an ally is as valuable an answer as saying that the Super Bowl is a football game. It’s a non-sequitur.
If you paid attention, you would know that the leader of the Al qaeda movement from Saudi Arabia and many of his followers are dead. Usama Bin Ladin was a cast off Saudi, no longer part of his important family that cast him out.
Being a Jew, you didn’t catch the reference to Christian serpent handlers. Not many Christian congregations have congregants that handle rattle snakes and cotton mouths as part of their Sunday services. To declare all Christians as serpent handlers is foolish. Likewise to declare all Saudi’s as wide eyed Islamic radicals is foolish
