Regarding Abedini and the other Americans held prisoner by Iran, from the following it appears that he and the others were part of the Iran deal. We can suspect that they were taken prisoner by Iran in the first place to be used for such a purpose. Iran is a truly a no-go area. We should be militarily strong enough so that, when and if the time comes, the President has options to deal with it.
